JOB OVERVIEW

About Us

We are a growing network of LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare and recovery organizations dedicated to substance use treatment and mental health support. Through our digital presence, we provide life-saving resources, compassionate care, and affirming visibility to LGBTQ+ individuals seeking recovery. We are looking for a detail-oriented SEO Specialist to join our team and help us expand our reach through best-in-class on-page SEO, content publishing, and research-driven strategies.

Role Overview

The SEO Specialist will be responsible for publishing and optimizing WordPress pages and blog posts with precision and zero mistakes. This person will play a critical role in our digital growth by ensuring all content meets SEO best practices, reads fluently in English, and is highly relevant to LGBTQ+ communities impacted by substance use. Beyond technical posting, you’ll be our expert in keyword research, competitive analysis, and on-page optimization—helping us close visibility gaps and rank higher in search.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Publishing: Upload, format, and optimize web pages and blog posts, ensuring all metadata, tags, headings, internal links, and media are SEO-ready.

On-Page SEO: Implement structured data, schema, alt tags, and keyword placement across all content.

Keyword & Competitive Research: Conduct thorough keyword research with a focus on LGBTQ+ and substance use recovery topics. Identify trends, long-tail opportunities, and competitive gaps.

Content SEO Strategy: Partner with writers and editors to refine content that resonates with LGBTQ+ audiences while meeting technical SEO requirements.

Quality Control: Maintain an eagle eye for details—no typos, formatting issues, broken links, or missed SEO opportunities.

Analytics & Reporting: Track performance of published content (CTR, rankings, organic traffic) and provide actionable insights to continuously improve.

Writing & Editing: Draft or refine copy for meta descriptions, alt tags, titles, FAQs, and occasional blog content with natural, fluent English.

Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and content teams to ensure SEO strategies align with broader growth goals.

Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience in on-page SEO and WordPress content publishing.

Strong ability to write, edit, and optimize content in fluent English (US English preferred).

Deep understanding of SEO research, keyword strategy, and competitive analysis tools.

Extreme attention to detail—accuracy is non-negotiable.

Familiarity with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, SpyFu, or equivalent).

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.

Experience in healthcare or LGBTQ+ digital content is a plus.

Strong commitment to respectful, inclusive communication.
