JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are a U.S.-based office furniture dealership looking for an experienced Designer / Space Planner to join our growing remote design team.

If you have professional experience with contract furniture dealerships and are skilled in space planning, layout design, and furniture specification, this role is for you.

You’ll collaborate closely with our sales and project management teams to turn workplace concepts into functional, aesthetic, and compliant designs.

Key Responsibilities
- Create space plans, floorplans, and 3D renderings using CET Configura and AutoCAD.
- Develop furniture specifications, installation drawings, and bills of materials.
- Prepare quotes and proposals in coordination with sales and purchasing.
- Interpret architectural drawings and ensure compliance with ADA/building standards.
- Manage design revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support client presentations with visuals, finish boards, and sample coordination.
- Maintain and organize block libraries, templates, and design standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, manufacturers, and installers for accurate execution.

Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience as a Designer / Space Planner for an office furniture dealer.
- Proficient in CET Configura (Commercial Interiors) and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with CAP, ProjectMatrix, or 2020 Worksheet is a strong plus.
- Deep understanding of contract furniture systems (Haworth, HON, Teknion, Global, Kimball, Steelcase, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Skills
- Rendering software: Twinmotion, SketchUp, Enscape, or similar.
- Knowledge of finishes, materials, and specifications for corporate, higher education, or healthcare projects.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred but not required).

Work Setup
