Virtual Assistant – Design & Drawings (SketchUp Specialist)

We're looking for a superstar to become our very own Design & Drawings VA.

We're part of a fast-growing, team-expanding company in the Residential building space, focused on delivering stunning home renovations covering Bathrooms, Kitchens & Laundries.

We're looking for the best person available to join our team, and we're happy to negotiate on salary to find them!

The Role

This is a FULL-TIME role, and you'll be the go-to person turning our project concepts into accurate, professional drawings and documentation that our team and clients can build from.

You Will...
Produce detailed floor plans, elevations, schedules and 3D renders for our Bathroom, Kitchen & Laundry renovation projects using SketchUp and SketchUp LayOut
Take a project from concept sketch through to construction-ready documentation, keeping drawings accurate, consistent and easy for the team and trades to follow
Manage revisions efficiently, turning around client and team feedback without compromising on detail or accuracy
Work closely with our estimating and project teams to make sure drawings align with quotes, material schedules and site realities
Work autonomously on your own drawing queue, managing your time and priorities, while staying closely connected with the team on progress, questions and roadblocks
Have the confidence to speak up and flag ideas or process improvements that make our design and documentation workflow faster and cleaner
Have exceptional written and spoken English
Bring great attention to detail to everything you produce — a plan that's off by a few millimetres is a problem on site
Skills & Experience
Proficient in SketchUp and SketchUp LayOut — this is essential, and you'll need a strong portfolio to show it
Comfortable producing schedules, plans and presentation-quality 3D renders for residential projects
Confident using email and Excel
Experience with Canva is a bonus (used for client-facing presentations)
Prior construction, renovation, cabinetry or building-design experience is highly recommended, but not required if you're keen to learn and grow within the field
Bonus points for familiarity with Buildxact or similar construction management software
