Employment Type: Full-Time
About Beamshyft
Beamshyft is a growing kitchen cabinetry company focused on making high-quality design more accessible. We are seeking a versatile Design Associate who can combine architectural knowledge, professional rendering skills, and strong graphic-design capabilities.
The Role
The Design Associate will create professional kitchen and interior renderings, product presentations, catalogs, layouts, and other visual materials.
The ideal candidate understands architectural plans and spatial design, is highly proficient in at least one professional design or rendering platform, and can translate technical concepts into clear, compelling visuals. Experience with 2020 Design is highly desirable, although candidates proficient in Revit or a comparable platform should be able to transition quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Create accurate, professional-quality kitchen and interior renderings.
Develop space plans, elevations, layouts, and presentation drawings.
Interpret architectural drawings, measurements, specifications, and construction details.
Produce product catalogs, brochures, flyers, presentations, signage, and digital marketing materials.
Use Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign to create polished, production-ready assets.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and leadership to communicate design concepts effectively.
Maintain consistency across the company’s architectural, product, and brand visuals.
Prepare files for digital distribution and professional printing.
Organize and maintain product assets, templates, renderings, and design files.
Revise designs based on feedback while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Professional proficiency in at least one architectural design or rendering platform, such as 2020 Design, Revit, SketchUp with a rendering engine, Chief Architect, AutoCAD, or a comparable program.
Professional proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
Formal studies, professional experience, or substantial working knowledge in architecture, interior architecture, interior design, or a closely related field.
Ability to read and understand floor plans, elevations, dimensions, and architectural drawings.
Strong understanding of scale, proportion, materials, lighting, and spatial composition.
A portfolio demonstrating professional renderings, architectural work, graphic design, or related projects.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and revisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with 2020 Design, particularly for kitchen or cabinetry layouts.
Experience with Revit and the ability to learn new design platforms quickly.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
Experience designing kitchens, cabinetry, residential interiors, or construction-related materials.
Knowledge of print production, catalog design, and prepress preparation.
Experience with AI prompt engineering, AI-assisted rendering, generative design tools, or image-enhancement workflows.
Familiarity with Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, D5 Render, Enscape, Lumion, or similar tools.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is both technically capable and visually creative. You should be comfortable moving between architectural visualization and graphic design as you will be creating an accurate kitchen rendering one day and laying out a polished catalog or marketing piece the next.
The right candidate is organized, adaptable, receptive to feedback, and interested in using both traditional and emerging design technologies to produce exceptional work.
