RCM Team Lead -
Positive Impact Dental Alliance · September 2026
About PIDA
Positive Impact Dental Alliance (PIDA) is a dental support organization with 26 dentistry practices across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri, including locations in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Kansas City, and Wichita. We employ about 35 dentists and 35 hygienists. We're growing through mergers and acquisitions and building out our team across finance, billing, operations, and compliance. This role is central to supporting that growth.
Who we are looking for
This is a senior leadership role, not a billing or supervisory position. We are looking for someone who has held a director or senior management role inside a large offshore dental billing firm, with full responsibility for RCM performance across multiple dental client accounts. They must have led a team of more than 20 billers, including managers or team leads, owned the results, and reported those results to executive leadership. If they have not done that, they are not the right candidate.
How the role works
• Title: RCM Director. Reports to the COO.
• Works US Central business hours.
• Builds and Leads a team of 20 to 40 billing staff, including managers and team leads, across all practices.
• Owns RCM results and reports them to executive leadership on a regular schedule.
• Steps into an existing billing operation, with a structured handoff in the first 90 days.
• Uses AI and automation tools to improve accuracy and speed, with strong judgment about patient data and HIPAA.
Required experience
• Director or senior management role at a large outsourced dental billing firm (medical billing alone does not qualify)
• Led more than 20 dental billers, including managers or team leads, across multiple client accounts
• Expert in the full dental revenue cycle, Medicaid and commercial payers, and RCM metrics
• Track record of standardizing workflows and building accountable billing teams
• Native-level English, written and spoken
Preferred experience
• Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental, plus dental clearinghouses
• CDT coding and claim attachments
• SoonerCare, KanCare, or MO HealthNet
• PPO fee schedules and underpayment recovery
• Integrating acquired practices and cleaning up aged AR
Core responsibilities
1. RCM performance. Own collections, days in AR, denial rates, and net collection rate across all practices, and report results to the COO with action plans.
2. Team leadership. Structure, hire, train, and lead a team of managers, team leads, and billers, and hold them accountable to metrics.
3. Revenue cycle operations. Oversee eligibility, claims, posting, follow-up, denials and appeals, and patient balances for Medicaid and commercial payers.
4. Workflows. Design and document standard billing workflows across all locations.
5. Acquisitions. Move newly acquired practices onto our workflows and clean up their AR.
6. Practice partnership. Work with credentialing and front desk teams so providers are enrolled with payers and patient balances are collected at the time of service.
7. Compliance. Keep processes HIPAA-compliant and audit-ready, and handle overpayments and refunds correctly.
8. Technology. Get the most out of our practice management software and clearinghouse, and use automation to reduce manual work.
Our core values
• Patient first. Every decision, including billing ones, protects patient care and patient trust. Clear, accurate patient balances are part of that.
• Love your people. We take care of our team, and we build billing teams where people are trained, supported, and held to clear standards.
• Continual improvement. We keep refining our systems, workflows, and processes rather than settling for how things have always been done.
• Resourceful and resilient. We find practical solutions, work through obstacles, and keep claims and collections moving.
