JOB OVERVIEW

We are specifically looking for someone highly analytical, very sharp, strategic, proactive, and capable of operating at a high level.

This person will directly impact inventory decisions, forecasting, purchasing, inventory turns, profitability, and overall company performance.

This role will have direct visibility with leadership and will be involved in helping restructure and stabilize inventory operations.

Working Schedule:

Preferred shift:

• 2:00pm–11:00pm Pacific Time
• Candidate must be comfortable working U.S. Pacific business hours
• Strong communication and responsiveness are required
• This role will work closely with leadership, Maria, operations, sales, finance, and inventory teams

Position: Inventory Demand Planner / Inventory Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Planning & Forecasting

• Analyze inventory across 1,200+ SKUs and 20+ categories
• Create demand forecasts by SKU, customer, sales channel, and category
• Monitor inventory turns and weeks of supply
• Recommend replenishment timing and quantities
• Factor overseas supplier lead times into planning
• Evaluate inventory on-hand, on-water, and production inventory
• Identify stockout and overstock risks

Sales & Performance Analysis

Analyze:

• top-performing SKUs
• slow-moving SKUs
• aged inventory
• sales trends
• promotional impacts
• gross margin trends

Provide recommendations including:

• discontinue items
• reduce inventory
• increase buys
• promotional opportunities
• inventory liquidation recommendations

Additional analysis:

• analyze profitability after freight, promotions, marketplace deductions, and dilution
• evaluate contribution margin by SKU and customer

Online / Marketplace Experience Preferred:

• Amazon Vendor Central
• ----------
• Wayfair
• Walmart
• Lowe’s
• ecommerce inventory environments

Purchasing / Supply Chain Coordination

Work closely with:

• Maria
• China team
• Operations
• Finance
• Sales

Reporting & Analytics

Build and maintain:

• inventory dashboards
• forecasting models
• inventory aging reports
• excess inventory reports
• inventory health KPIs
• demand trend analysis

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years inventory planning / demand planning experience
• Strong Excel mandatory
• Pivot Tables
• VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• INDEX MATCH
• Large dataset experience
• ERP experience
• Experience with large SKU environments strongly preferred
• Import business experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable building process in imperfect environments

Most important:

We are not looking for someone who simply runs reports.

We need someone who identifies problems before they happen, challenges assumptions, thinks critically, builds process, and acts like an owner.
