JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Database Engineer / SQL Server Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance optimization, database maintenance, and advanced query development. The role requires someone who can ensure database reliability, security, scalability, and high performance across business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, and monitor Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Manage database snapshots, replication, indexing, and maintenance plans.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot slow or problematic queries.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Analyze execution plans and improve database performance bottlenecks.
• Monitor database health, storage usage, and server performance.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to improve database design and application performance.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security best practices are followed.
• Troubleshoot database-related i ---------- and provide timely resolutions.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest SQL Server technologies and optimization techniques.

Qualifications:
• Strong English proficiency. Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate.
• Honest, responsible, and hardworking person.
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration and optimization.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server backups, restores, snapshots, recovery models, and maintenance strategies.
• Experience configuring and managing SQL Server instances in production environments.
• Advanced knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• Strong understanding of indexing, query execution plans, locking, blocking, and performance tuning.
• Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with high-availability solutions, replication, clustering, or Always On Availability Groups will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with Power BI, ETL pipelines, or business intelligence systems will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in forex, stocks, options, futures, bonds, contracts for difference, or other highly data-driven industries will be considered a significant advantage.
• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
