Help Build Australia's Largest Funding Intelligence Database
About Grant'd
Grant'd is Australia's funding intelligence platform, helping businesses, charities, community organisations and researchers discover, manage and secure funding. We're building one of Australia's largest funding databases and are looking for an exceptional Data Operations Coordinator to join our Research & Data team.
Working alongside our Research & Data Manager, you'll help expand our funding coverage from approximately 8,000 funding opportunities to more than 30,000, while ensuring every record meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to combine research, AI and data operations. You'll help accelerate the growth of Grant'd's funding database by identifying new funding sources, supporting our AI-powered data collection process and performing quality assurance before information reaches our members.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, embraces AI tools and understands that speed is only valuable when combined with accuracy.
Your Key Responsibilities
Research & Data Collection
Working alongside our Research & Data Manager, you will:
Research new government, philanthropic and private funding sources
Identify new grant opportunities across Australia
Locate and maintain source URLs for our automated aggregation platform
Expand Grant'd's funding source coverage
Support ongoing database growth and maintenance
AI & Data Operations
You'll work with our AI-assisted research workflow to:
Support AI-powered grant discovery
Validate AI-generated data
Review and improve AI outputs
Identify missing or inaccurate information
Help improve the quality of our research process over time
Previous experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
Quality Assurance
Accuracy is critical.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing funding information before publication
Validating eligibility, dates, links and funding amounts
Identifying duplicate or outdated records
Ensuring data consistency across the platform
Maintaining high quality standards at every stage of the process
Database Management
Batch upload approved funding opportunities
Categorise grants correctly
Maintain database accuracy
Support ongoing improvements to our funding taxonomy
Assist with database maintenance and reporting
We're Looking For Someone Who
Has exceptional written English
Is highly organised and detail-oriented
Enjoys research and working with structured data
Is comfortable using AI as part of their daily workflow
Learns new systems quickly
Can work efficiently without compromising quality
Takes pride in producing accurate work
Enjoys continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
Experience in one or more of the following would be highly regarded:
AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude or similar)
Online research
Database management
Airtable
Google Sheets / Excel
Data validation and quality assurance
CRM or database systems
Categorisation or taxonomy management
An understanding of the Australian funding landscape would be an advantage, but is not essential.
