JOB OVERVIEW

Remote | DTC Supplement Brand | Long-Term, Performance-Driven Role

PRIMAL STORM is looking for a high-performing Direct Response Video Editor who understands hooks, retention, conversion psychology, and performance-driven paid social creatives.

This is not a “make it look nice” editing role.

We’re looking for someone who knows how to create winning ads that drive CTR, Hook Rate, CPA, CVR, retention, and scalable paid acquisition across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and other paid social channels.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create high-converting Direct Response video creatives for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and paid social campaigns
- Edit UGC ads, AI-generated creatives, VSL-style videos, founder-style ads, and testimonial creatives
- Develop scroll-stopping hooks, retention-focused edits, and platform-native paid social creatives
- Analyze winning creatives, hooks, retention patterns, competitors, and performance feedback
- Collaborate closely with creative strategy and media buying teams
- Produce ~8 briefs/videos per week with fast turnaround and revision cycles
- Test, iterate, and scale winning creatives through performance data and AI-assisted workflows
Key KPIs: winning video consistency, ad spend scalability, subscription conversion, CTR, Hook Rate, CPA, CVR, and retention/watch time.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (IDEAL CANDIDATE)
- Strong Direct Response video editor with proven paid social creative experience
- Proven DTC/eCommerce experience (supplements, ecommerce, performance brands preferred)
- Strong understanding of hooks, retention, pacing, storytelling, conversion psychology, and performance editing
- Experience creating UGC ads, AI-generated creatives, VSL-style videos, and Meta/TikTok paid social creatives
- Data-driven mindset: analyzes ? learns ? iterates
- Performance-driven (numbers > opinions)
- High ownership, responsiveness, and accountability
- Proactive, fast executor, and clear communicator
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume creative environments and daily delivery workflows
Not a Fit If: You focus more on aesthetics than performance, can’t show measurable creative results, don’t iterate based on data, or struggle with fast-paced execution, feedback, and ownership.
