JOB OVERVIEW

Hi everyone,

I need some assistance with production of design assets for a YouTube channel

I need someone who can design within a work in progress visual system, (I'm defining the visual identity as we go) and execute consistently without needing hand-holding on every asset.

WHAT YOU'LL BE MAKING

- YouTube thumbnails — clean, typographically strong, on-brand
- Episode decks in Figma — some long form video comes with a branded slide deck that accompanies the content. You'll build these from a master template design I already built in figma. Each deck (one per fortnight currently, but it might change) will need different copy based on the script, but the design stays the same.
- Instagram carousels — adapted from deck pages, designed for mobile
- Occasional additional content assets as needed

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR

- Strong Figma skills — this is non-negotiable, everything lives in Figma
- A good eye for typography and layout — you understand hierarchy, spacing, and when something looks off
- Ability to work within a defined visual system and maintain consistency across assets
- Fast and reliable — thumbnails especially need quick turnaround once a video is ready
- Clear communicator — you ask the right questions upfront and don't go quiet
- Portfolio that shows clean, minimal design work — not overdesigned, not decorative for the sake of it

- Experience designing for YouTube channels specifically
- Familiarity with educational or thought leadership content aesthetics
- Basic motion appreciated
