JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Monitoring Analyst to help protect our organization's systems, endpoints, and network infrastructure. This role is responsible for day-to-day security monitoring, log analysis, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on identifying risks early and recommending practical improvements to our security posture.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage endpoint security using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Bitdefender
- Configure, monitor, and maintain Cloudflare for network/web security, DNS, and traffic filtering
- Review and analyze security logs and alerts across endpoints, network, and cloud services to identify suspicious activity
- Prepare and distribute a daily cybersecurity status report summarizing threats detected, i ---------- , alerts, and overall security health
- Investigate and triage security alerts, escalating confirmed i ---------- according to established procedures
- Proactively identify gaps or weaknesses in current security tools and configurations
- Recommend and help implement improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture
- Maintain documentation of security events, responses, and remediation steps
- Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices relevant to the tools in use

Required Skills & Experience

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (or comparable Microsoft security tools)
- Experience with Cloudflare (or similar web/DNS/network security platforms)
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and act on cybersecurity logs and alerts
- Experience with Bitdefender or similar endpoint protection platforms
- Demonstrated experience producing clear, concise security status reports for stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the judgment to prioritize real threats
- Ability to work independently and maintain a consistent daily monitoring routine

Preferred / Desired Skills

- Ability to go beyond monitoring — proactively recommending and helping implement security improvements
- Familiarity with SIEM tools or log aggregation platforms
- Understanding of network security fundamentals (firewalls, DNS, VPNs)
- Experience with vulnerability management or patch management processes
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CEH, or similar) a plus
- Familiarity with i ---------- response procedures
- Basic scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python) for report generation or alert handling, a plus
- Web administration and design skills (e.g., website management, basic front-end/design work) a plus
