Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Specialist with hands-on experience in CargoWise to manage accurate and timely customs filings for imports and exports. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, coordinate with clients and customs officials, and maintain meticulous records of all entries and communications. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a remote work environment and have a strong focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and lodge UK import/export customs entries using CargoWise, with complete accuracy and within deadlines.
Ensure all documentation and filings meet HMRC compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
Verify tariff classifications (HS codes) and calculate correct duties/VAT for shipments.
Coordinate with clients and customs officials to obtain information and resolve any entry issues.
Maintain detailed records of declarations and communications for audit and tracking.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in customs entry or brokerage, specifically handling UK imports & exports.
Proficiency in CargoWise customs modules
In-depth knowledge of UK customs regulations, import/export procedures, and relevant documentation
Excellent English communication skills and meticulous attention to detail in data entry and document review
Ability to work remotely with strong self-discipline, time management, and collaborative skills.
