Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the first point of contact for our patients, helping ensure a welcoming and supportive experience. This role involves answering incoming phone calls, addressing patient questions regarding appointments, office policies, and medical records, and providing clear communication across multiple languages. This position may include remote work responsibilities and requires consistent communication with on-site staff.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and route incoming phone calls in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
Assist patients with general inquiries regarding the health center, including hours, services, appointments, and procedures.
Provide information and guidance to patients about accessing their medical records and completing necessary forms.
Document call details and patient communications accurately in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff—both onsite and remote—to resolve patient concerns or escalate issues when appropriate.
Maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA regulations.
Ensure a positive and supportive experience for all patients, especially those facing language, cultural, or socioeconomic barriers.
Perform additional administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling appointments or verifying patient information.

Required Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency in Cantonese and Vietnamese (verbal).
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage high call volume and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with EHR systems is a plus.
Ability to work remotely in a professional and distraction-free environment.
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with on-site staff.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with immigrant or underserved communities.
Experience in a healthcare, clinic, or medical office setting.
Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic diversity.
