Job Description
A U.S.-based nonprofit cultural organization expanding its cultural exhibits, workshops, and community education programming. We are seeking a dependable and proactive Cultural Exhibits and Program Outreach Support tea
This role supports exhibit development and continuity and requires someone who can independently identify and engage potential participants with minimal pre-existing leads.
Responsibilities
• Research potential exhibit topics, presenters, workshop facilitators, and cultural contributors
• Identify individuals and organizations aligned with monthly exhibit themes using Google searches and other public sources
• Proactively reach out by phone and
• Conduct consistent follow-up regarding participation, availability, and scheduling
• Track responses, commitments, and next steps for presenters and partners
• Assist with scheduling workshops, seminars, fitness sessions, and exhibit-related activities
• Maintain organized notes, contact lists, and exhibit timelines
• Collaborate with the social media manager to post surveys, interest forms, and public notices to attract participants
• Flag gaps, delays, or issues requiring attention and help source solutions
Hours and Availability
• Up to 6 hours per week (hard cap)
• Hours may not be exceeded without prior approval
• Must have at least 3–4 hours of overlap with U.S. Central Time on weekdays
Qualifications
• Strong research and organizational skills
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication
• Comfortable making outbound calls and initiating contact with new individuals
• Self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction
• Highly reliable and detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Resourceful in identifying and securing participants
Additional Notes
This role supports cultural exhibit coordination, outreach, and research. Final decisions, approvals, and public-facing communications remain with leadership.
