We're building a modern, tech-forward healthcare organization and need a sharp, detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to own our provider enrollment process end to end. This is an early hire on a small, high-impact team — you'll have real ownership and room to grow as we scale.
You'll be responsible for credentialing and enrolling our physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with commercial insurance payors and Medicare across the state of Florida. You'll manage the full credentialing lifecycle — from initial applications through re-credentialing and ongoing compliance — working directly in CAQH and individual payor portals.
This is not a "set it and forget it" role. We're growing fast, onboarding new providers regularly, and need someone who can build and maintain clean, reliable processes from the ground up.

The Role
You'll be responsible for credentialing and enrolling our physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants with commercial insurance payors and Medicare across the state of Florida. You'll manage the full credentialing lifecycle — from initial applications through re-credentialing and ongoing compliance — working directly in CAQH and individual payor portals.
This is not a "set it and forget it" role. We're growing fast, onboarding new providers regularly, and need someone who can build and maintain clean, reliable processes from the ground up.

What You'll Do
- Submit and manage initial credentialing applications for primary care providers (MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs) with Florida commercial payors (BCBS, UHC, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, etc.) and Medicare
- Maintain and update provider profiles in CAQH ProView
- Enroll providers in PECOS (Medicare) and manage Florida Medicaid enrollment where needed
- Track and manage re-credentialing and revalidation timelines so nothing lapses
- Monitor and track provider licenses, DEA registrations, board certifications, malpractice insurance, and other expiring credentials
- Follow up on enrollment denials, deficiencies, and incomplete applications — resolve issues and resubmit
- Maintain organized records and status tracking for 10–30+ providers (and growing)
- Work within our internal platforms and tools to manage workflows — we are a tech-forward team and expect you to be comfortable adopting new systems quickly
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with US provider credentialing and payor enrollment
- Direct experience with primary care provider types (physicians, NPs, PAs) — not behavioral health or nursing-only backgrounds
- Working knowledge of CAQH ProView, PECOS/NPPES, and major commercial payor portals
- Experience with Florida payors and/or Florida Medicare
- Ability to work US hours (9 AM – 5 PM PT or as agreed)
- Excellent English communication — written and verbal
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple provider files simultaneously without dropping balls
Strongly Preferred:
- AI fluency — you actively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to work faster and smarter, and you're excited about integrating AI into your daily workflows
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where processes aren't fully built yet
- Familiarity with primary source verification workflows
- Experience tracking credentialing status in spreadsheets, project management tools, or credentialing platforms
Why This Role
- Ownership: You'll own the credentialing function, not just execute tasks handed to you
- Growth: As Sapling Health grows, this role grows — potential to build and lead a credentialing team
- Modern team: We use AI-native tools and modern platforms. If you're tired of outdated workflows, you'll fit right in
- Competitive pay for the right candidate, with room to grow
How to Apply
Please include in your application:
- A brief summary of your credentialing experience — specifically which payor types and provider types you've worked with
- Whether you have Florida-specific payor enrollment experience
- How many providers you've managed credentialing for at one time
- Your comfort level with AI tools — do you use them regularly? Which ones?
- Confirmation that you can work US business hours
