Credentialing Specialist - Performance-Based Pay at Compass Healthcare
Compass Healthcare is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialists to join our revenue cycle management team. Key Responsibilities and Performance Focus
Your primary role is to ensure the prompt and accurate credentialing and re-credentialing of our healthcare providers with commercial and government payers. Your pay will be directly based on the volume and successful completion of these key tasks:
Application Completion & Submission: Manage and process initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications for various payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurances, etc.).
Verification and Documentation: Collect, review, and verify all necessary provider credentials, including licenses, certifications, education, and work history.
Database Management: Maintain and update provider profiles in relevant databases such as CAQH, PECOS, and NPPES with meticulous accuracy.
Follow-Up and Issue Resolution: Proactively follow up with payers, providers, and internal staff to resolve outstanding issues or requests that could delay the credentialing process.
Compliance: Ensure all credentialing activities adhere strictly to federal, state, and payer-specific regulations and requirements.

Competitive Base Rate per Completed Application: You will earn a specific, competitive fee for each initial credentialing or re-credentialing application that you successfully process from start (submission) to finish (approval/effective date).
Note: Different application types (initial vs. re-credentialing, complex vs. simple payer) may carry different weighted values or fees.

? Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Proven experience (e.g., 1-3 years) as a Credentialing Specialist, Provider Enrollment Specialist, or in a closely related medical billing/RCM role is preferred.
Expert Knowledge: Strong understanding of the healthcare credentialing and enrollment processes, including knowledge of CAQH, managed care, and government payer requirements.
Essential Skills:
Exceptional Attention to Detail: Critical for accurate data entry and verification.
Organizational and Time Management: Ability to manage a high volume of applications and prioritize tasks effectively.
Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with providers and payer representatives.
