Hi! I’m the owner of Brows By Maddy, an Australian beauty business specialising in brows and lash lifts. I’m currently expanding my business into beauty education and training, and I’m looking for a creative, reliable and highly detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help me bring this next stage of my brand to life.
This is not primarily an admin VA position. I’m looking for someone who is creative, visually strong and confident taking my ideas/content and turning them into polished, professional digital assets.
Initially, a major part of the role will be helping me develop and launch my online beauty courses, alongside improving my website and creating branded content. There is potential for this to become an ongoing role as the education side of my business grows.
Your work may include:
Helping build and format online courses from content and information I provide
Creating course workbooks, PDFs, guides, checklists and supporting resources
Designing presentations/course slides in Canva
Uploading and organising course modules, lessons, videos and resources
Helping create and improve my website and online course pages
Creating landing pages and sales pages
Creating Canva templates for Instagram posts, carousels, stories and educational content
Repurposing my ideas, videos and existing content into social media assets
Basic video/Reel editing would be highly valued
Keeping branding consistent across my website, courses and social media
Assisting with future digital products and launches
Other creative/content tasks as the business grows
I don’t want generic, overly corporate or obviously templated designs. Everything should feel cohesive, professional and recognisable as Brows By Maddy.
My content style is educational but conversational. I want to position myself as an expert and educator while still sounding like a real person — not like a textbook or AI-generated business account.
The ideal person:
Has excellent Canva skills
Has a strong eye for branding, layout and design
Has experience creating online courses, digital products or educational materials
Has website design/building experience
Understands social media and Instagram content
Can follow an established brand while also bringing creative ideas
Is extremely detail-oriented
Communicates clearly and asks questions when needed
Can work independently once given direction
Is organised and meets deadlines
Is comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions
Has strong written English
Understands that small details matter
Experience working with beauty businesses, educators, coaches or feminine brands would be a major advantage.
Experience with Canva, Shopify, online course platforms,
I’m looking for someone who genuinely understands design and branding, not someone who simply selects a Canva template and changes the colours.
You should be able to look at inspiration I send you, understand the overall aesthetic I’m trying to achieve and create something original that suits my brand.
I have lots of ideas and knowledge to turn into educational content, so I need someone who is great at taking information and helping me organise, package and visually present it professionally.
Please include the following in your application:
A short introduction about yourself and your relevant experience.
A link to your portfolio or examples of your Canva/design work.
Examples of any online courses, workbooks, websites, social media content or digital products you have helped create.
Which platforms/software you are confident using.
Your experience with Canva and website/course creation.
Your hourly rate or preferred working arrangement.
Your current availability and how many hours per week you can commit.
10–15 hours/week initially, negotiable price depending on experience and portfolio.
