We’re a US-based digital marketing agency looking for a creative, independent freelance editor who can turn raw, unsorted footage into compelling **20–40-second video ads**.
We want someone who can take a simple brief, find the best footage, and make creative decisions without needing detailed instructions for every edit.
**How It Works**
We’ll provide a batch of raw footage, available brand assets, and a brief outlining the topics or angles we want.
For example: “Create 10 different ads—three highlighting the product’s benefits, three addressing customer problems, two using testimonials, and two promoting the offer.”
You’ll review the footage, select relevant clips, and create distinct ads with strong hooks, clear messaging, engaging pacing, and calls to action.
**Your Responsibilities**
- Organize and review raw, unsorted footage.
- Identify strong moments, useful sound bites, and relevant visuals.
- Develop each ad’s hook, structure, and creative direction.
- Create genuinely different ads with distinct angles.
- Add captions, music, sound effects, realistic Stock/AI visuals and appropriate motion graphics
- Deliver polished videos, primarily in vertical 9:16 format.
- Make one round of minor revisions based on feedback.
- Use performance feedback to improve future edits.
**What We’re Looking For**
- A portfolio of
- Strong creative judgment and storytelling skills.
- Understanding of direct-response advertising, viewer retention, and calls to action.
- Ability to work independently from a brief.
- Excellent English comprehension and reliable communication.
- Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
**Pay & Workload**
- **$5 USD per completed 20–40-second video**, including footage selection and editing.
- Potential for **100–200 videos per month**, depending on workload and performance.
- Flexible working hours.
- Batch deadlines agreed in advance based on the amount of footage and number of ads.
- Ongoing freelance work for the right editor.
**To Apply**
Please include:
1. Your portfolio with relevant ad examples.
2. An example of an ad where you chose the footage, hook, and structure yourself.
3. Confirmation that you accept the rate and scope.
4. How many ads you can produce per week.
5. Your editing software and typical turnaround time.
6. A brief explanation of how you would turn unsorted footage into ads.
Shortlisted applicants may be offered a paid test at the advertised rate.
