JOB OVERVIEW

The Vibe:
We are One Bold Chemist. We don't do boring perfume ads. We go viral by mixing deep science (chemistry/ingredients) with internet humor, ---------- s, and fast-paced storytelling. We talk about everything from whale vomit (ambergris) to synthetic molecules.

The Role:
We are looking for a video editor who is a Master Asset Hunter and a visual storyteller. You don't just cut clips; you build a narrative.

What You Will Do:

Deep-Dive Asset Hunting: This is key. If the script mentions a specific "Sperm Whale eating a squid," you don't just grab a generic fish video. You hunt for the exact right stock footage to match the narration.

"Edutainment" Editing: Transform scripts about fragrance chemistry into high-energy TikToks/Reels that keep people watching.

---------- & Humor Integration: You know exactly when to cut to a funny ---------- or sound effect (vine booms, overlays) to keep retention high without it being "cringe."

AI as a Bonus: Comfortable using AI tools (like Google Veo 3 or Nano Banana) to generate clips or images only when stock footage isn't enough. It's a tool to fill the gaps, not replace the craft.

Requirements:

Resourceful: You have the patience to scroll through stock libraries until you find the perfect clip.

Storytelling First: You understand pacing. You know how to visually explain complex topics in an entertaining way.

Proficient in Premiere Pro or CapCut.

Aesthetic Eye: You can balance "shitposting/ ---------- s" with a clean, premium look when needed.

How to Apply:

Send a link to your portfolio.

Highlight: Please point out 1-2 videos where you used storytelling (voiceover + stock footage/b-roll).

THE TEST: If we asked for a video clip of "a cinematic shot of a vanilla bean exploding into gold dust" and you couldn't find it on stock sites – how would you solve it? (Would you use AI? VFX? Keep looking? Tell us your process).

Start your subject line with "BOLD EDITOR" so we know you read this.
