JOB OVERVIEW

COMPANY OVERVIEW

BKG is a home-renovation group in the Netherlands. Our brands include Sanitairstudio (bathrooms) and Tegelstudio (tiles), alongside 25+ other home-improvement brands in the wider BKG group. Our founder and our head of content film most of our videos themselves, in Dutch and in English.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You d ---------- what we film and how, so that our presenters only have to show up and film. From topics and product picks you make shoot packages: concept, hooks, talking points, shot list and a one-page shoot guide. One filming session should give our editor 20 or more clips. You brief our video editor and our AI content creator, you own the content calendar, and every month you use the numbers to d ---------- what we make more of. You direct; you don’t film or edit. A bit more than half of your time goes to the wider BKG group; the rest is split between our bathroom brand, Sanitairstudio, and our tile brand, Tegelstudio. You are the working deputy of our head of content.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

Set the content plan per brand: pillars, formats and a hook bank, based on what our customers ask and what performs.
Turn each week’s topics into shoot packages for our presenters: concept, hook options, talking points, shot list and a one-page shoot guide, ready two working days before each filming day.
Write the briefs for our video editor and our AI content creator (cuts, captions, B-roll, visuals), and review their work against the brief.
Give our Meta ads specialist angles to test: turn what works organically into ad concepts.
Own the content calendar for all brands and channels: what goes out when, and why. Our engagement specialists do the scheduling.
Evaluate every month with the numbers (hook rate, retention, saves, shares, leads): what we repeat, what we change and what we stop.
Guard the brand voice and the style guide on everything that goes out.

REQUIRED SKILLS

2+ years of concepts and scripts for short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), with results you can show: links and numbers.
A strong instinct for hooks and story: you know what has to happen in the first two seconds and what keeps people watching.
You write shoot guides that a non-professional presenter can film from without help.
You brief editors and designers clearly, and your feedback makes the next version better.
You read the numbers (hook rate, retention, saves, shares) and change the plan because of them.
You can plan: a content calendar for several brands that stays realistic for the people who film and edit.
You can work for a market whose language you don’t speak: you research Dutch content with translation tools and leave the final Dutch wording to our native presenters. For our English content you write the script yourself.
Excellent written and spoken English.

TOOLS WE USE

Experience with these is a plus. Tell us which ones you have worked with.

Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts, with their own analytics.
Metricool for the calendar and reporting.
CapCut, Submagic and Opus Clip on the editing side; Canva.
Claude for research and first drafts.
Bitrix24 for tasks and approvals; Google Docs and Sheets.

NICE TO HAVE

Home, interior, renovation or real-estate content.
Creative strategy for paid social: ad angles and hooks that were tested with budget.
Founder-led or personal-brand content.
Experience directing non-actors, on set or remotely.
Experience with European markets.
Knowledge of Dutch or German.

AVAILABILITY

Part-time, 18 hours per week. You join a weekly idea session with our founder and our head of content during Amsterdam business hours (CET/CEST), which is afternoon and evening in the Philippines. Flexible otherwise, as long as each shoot package is ready on time. A reliable, high-speed internet connection is required.

EXPECTATIONS

Our presenters should never have to invent anything on the day: every shoot is fully prepared. You think in hooks and retention, you d ---------- on numbers rather than taste, and you say so when an idea will not work, also when it comes from the founder. If you spot a way to improve a process, a tool or a result, you raise it with your manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS / SALARY

$430/month, with room to grow for the right person. Long-term, stable role.

BONUSES

Paid Time Off after 1.5 months · salary reviews every 2–3 months · professional-development budget · second monitor after 6 months · new laptop after 2 years.

HOW TO APPLY

Start your message with the word “SHOTLIST” so we know you have read the full post. Then answer these four questions, 3 to 6 sentences each:

Share two short-form videos you conceived or scripted: the link, your exact part in it, the hook, and the numbers (views, watch time or retention, saves or shares). In one sentence each: why did it work?
Our bathroom showroom has more than 70 complete bathrooms. The presenter is a colleague, not an actor, filming on a phone. Give three hooks for three different videos filmed there. For each: the first line the presenter says, and what we see in the first two seconds. No “did you know” and no “stop scrolling”.
Most of our videos are in Dutch, and one filming session of an hour should give our editor 20 or more clips. What is in your shoot package so the presenter can film without calling you, and what do you leave to the presenter?
After a month, video A has 40,000 views, 15% of viewers watch to the end, and it has 20 saves. Video B has 6,000 views, 45% watch to the end, 150 saves, and it brought in three showroom appointments. What do you make next, and what do you stop?

Also include:

One shoot guide, script or content brief you wrote for someone else to film or edit. Remove client names if you need to. Only share what already exists; please don’t build anything for this.
Which of the tools under “Tools we use” you have worked with, and which hours (Philippine time) you are available for the weekly session with our Dutch team.

We read every application that starts with the codeword and answers the questions specifically. Generic or copy-paste replies aren’t considered.
