Job Title: Creative Director – Clinical Solutions OPEX (Creative Team)
Location: Remote
Team: Clinical Solutions | Operational Excellence (OPEX) – Creative Team
Reports to: Head of Clinical Transformation
Engagement: Independent Contractor (40+ hours/week) | Flexible days/times determined as project progresses
Opportunity Snapshot
Join our Clinical Solutions OPEX Creative Team to lead the creative strategy behind how we improve and scale healthcare operations. This role sits at the intersection of design, process improvement, and education — shaping how our platform supports ambulatory surgery compliance, insurance authorizations, and benefits workflows.
We’re looking for someone who can map broken processes, visualize the future state through story mapping, and build tools that educate and empower teams across clinical, product, and operations.
Your Mission
1. Lead design strategy for platform experiences focused on pre-authorizations, benefits breakdown, and compliance
2. Conduct end-to-end process mapping to identify workflow gaps and drive operational clarity
3. Create and facilitate story mapping sessions with cross-functional teams to align on user journeys and solution paths
4. Translate business process needs into scalable digital experiences that drive efficiency and adoption
5. Develop creative assets and tools that support training, onboarding, and change management
6. Collaborate with clinical education, compliance, product, and engineering teams to ensure solutions are both compliant and user-friendly
What You Bring
1. Strong foundation in business process design and optimization, especially in healthcare settings
2. Skilled in story mapping, journey visualization, and cross-functional collaboration
3. Background in training, education, or instructional design – able to communicate complex systems clearly
4. Experience designing in regulated environments (CMS, HIPAA, payer-provider workflows)
5. Ability to balance creative vision with operational and clinical constraints
