About the Role
As a Demolition Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing project scopes, performing takeoffs, and building accurate, profitable estimates for demolition and related services.
You will work closely with sales and operations to ensure every job is priced correctly, clearly scoped, and aligned with execution in the field.
This is a full-time remote role based in the Philippines, working Toronto business hours.
Responsibilities
-- Reviewing drawings, photos, and project details to understand full scope of work
-- Performing quantity takeoffs for demolition projects
-- Building detailed cost estimates including labour, equipment, disposal, and materials
-- Ensuring all estimates meet target margins and profitability goals
-- Identifying risks, missing scope, and potential cost issues before quoting
-- Clearly defining scope inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions
-- Coordinating with sales to finalize pricing and submit quotes
-- Supporting operations with clear job handoffs and documentation
-- Comparing estimated vs actual job performance to improve future accuracy
-- Continuously improving estimating templates, pricing models, and processes
Requirements
-- Experience in construction estimating (demolition experience strongly preferred)
-- Strong understanding of construction or demolition workflows
-- Ability to read drawings, plans, and project scopes
-- Strong analytical and numerical skills
-- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
-- High attention to detail and accuracy
-- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
-- Ability to work independently and make decisions
-- Organized and process-driven mindset
-- Stable internet connection, reliable computer, and quiet workspace
-- Willing to work Toronto timezone hours
Nice to Have
-- Experience estimating demolition, waste removal, or site services
-- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and takeoff tools
-- Familiarity with AutoCAD
-- Experience with estimating or project management software
-- Understanding of disposal costs, labour productivity, and job costing
