Quantum Accounting Associates is a complete outsourced accounting firm providing bookkeeping, controller, and fractional CFO services to growth-minded businesses. We partner with multiple clients across industries to provide financial clarity, improve processes, and support better decision-making.
We are looking for a Controller who is highly organized, analytical, client-focused, and experienced in managing accounting operations for multiple clients in a fast-paced environment.
Position Overview
The Controller will oversee accounting functions for a portfolio of clients, manage financial reporting, support month-end close, improve processes, and deliver financial analysis that helps clients understand their numbers and make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
• Manage month-end and year-end close for multiple client accounts
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statements
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger activity and financial reporting
• Trail Balance review/deep dive
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
• Analyze financial data, trends, and variances
• Prepare KPI dashboards and management reports
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices
• Work closely with clients, internal tea ---------- mbers, and leadership
• Maintain strong client communication and manage deadlines across multiple engagements
• Assist with system optimization, documentation, and special projects
Qualifications
• MUST work EST
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting role preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing multiple clients or entities preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and other cloud-based systems preferred
• Strong communication and client service skills
