COMPANY OVERVIEW
BKG is a home-renovation group in the Netherlands. Our brands include Sanitairstudio (bathrooms) and Tegelstudio (tiles), alongside 25+ other home-improvement brands in the wider BKG group. People research a new bathroom for months before they buy, and we want to be the source they find and trust.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You make sure our articles rank in Google and get quoted in AI answers (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity). Our market is Dutch, and you don’t need to speak Dutch: you do the research, the structure and the AI-assisted draft, and a Dutch editor checks every article before it goes live. You work from the keyword strategy and briefing template of our SEO lead, in a content pipeline with two approval gates: she approves the calendar before you draft, and the draft before it is published. Half of your time goes to our bathroom brand, Sanitairstudio; the other half to the wider BKG group. We start with two sites.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Research what Dutch homeowners actually ask: Semrush (Dutch database), Search Console, “People also ask”, and the questions in our own
Draft with AI inside our content pipeline (Claude, an SEO scoring tool, WordPress drafts): you write the brief and the prompts, and you edit the draft until it is accurate, useful and on brief.
Structure every article for search and for AI answers: a direct answer first, question headings, short paragraphs, lists and tables, an FAQ, internal links and a clear next step for the reader.
Keep the facts straight: every fact, price and quote traces back to a source or to our own team. Customer reviews are quoted word for word. Nothing is invented.
Hand over each draft in WordPress with notes for the Dutch editor, process the corrections, and keep a list of recurring corrections so the next draft is better.
Update what we already have: use Search Console to find articles that rank on page two or have gone stale, and improve those before writing new ones.
Keep the content calendar up to date and report monthly: what was published or updated, rankings, clicks, and where we were cited in AI answers.
REQUIRED SKILLS
2+ years of SEO content work with results you can show: rankings, traffic, or articles cited in AI answers.
You understand search intent and structure: you can turn a keyword cluster into an outline that answers the question first.
You know how AI answers pick their sources (AEO/GEO): direct answers, clear entities, original facts and well-structured pages.
An AI writing workflow of your own, and the editing skill to make an AI draft accurate and specific instead of generic.
Fact discipline: you check claims, keep a source list, and never let an invented fact, price or quote through.
Keyword research in Semrush or Ahrefs, and Google Search Console for finding what to update.
WordPress basics: drafts, headings, internal links, images with alt text, and the fields of an SEO plugin.
Comfortable producing content in a language you don’t speak, with a native editor checking every draft.
Excellent written English.
TOOLS WE USE
Experience with these is a plus. Tell us which ones you have worked with.
Claude for drafting, in a pipeline built on
Semrush or Ahrefs, and Google Search Console.
A content-scoring tool such as NeuronWriter or Surfer.
WordPress with Rank Math.
DeepL and a grammar checker for back-translation and checks.
Bitrix24 for tasks and approvals.
NICE TO HAVE
Knowledge of Dutch or German: a big plus.
Experience writing for a non-English market through AI and a native editor.
Home-improvement, interior or construction topics.
FAQ and HowTo schema; featured snippets you have won.
Refreshing and pruning old content.
Experience with a status-driven content pipeline (sheet, draft, approval, publish).
AVAILABILITY
Part-time, 20 hours per week, flexible. You have a weekly review with our SEO lead during Amsterdam business hours (CET/CEST), which is afternoon and evening in the Philippines. A reliable, high-speed internet connection is required.
EXPECTATIONS
Useful and correct beats long and fast. You never invent a fact, a price or a quote, and you flag what you could not verify. You expect your Dutch drafts to be corrected, and you learn from every correction. If you spot a way to improve a process, a tool or a result, you raise it with your manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS / SALARY
$319/month. Part-time now, with room to grow as more sites are added. Long-term, stable role.
BONUSES
Paid Time Off after 1.5 months · salary reviews every 2–3 months · professional-development budget · second monitor after 6 months · new laptop after 2 years.
HOW TO APPLY
Start your message with the word “SNIPPET” so we know you have read the full post. Then answer these four questions in 3 to 6 sentences each; question 2 asks for exactly two:
Share one article you wrote or edited that ranks or gets cited: the target keyword, what you did yourself and what AI did, and the result in numbers (position, clicks, or an AI answer that cites it). Add the link.
One of our articles is titled “Open vs. closed bathroom layouts: the pros and cons”. Write the first two sentences of that article, in English, so that they answer the question directly and could be quoted by an AI assistant.
Our articles are published in Dutch and you don’t speak Dutch: you work with AI, and a Dutch editor checks every draft. Walk us through your process from brief to draft. How do you make sure the Dutch text says what you intended, and that no fact, price or quote is invented?
Topic: making the most of a small bathroom. Where would you find out what Dutch homeowners actually ask about this, and which three questions must the article answer first?
Also include:
Links to two articles you wrote or edited, with the target keyword of each and a line on how AI was part of the work. Only share what already exists.
Which of the tools under “Tools we use” you have worked with, and which hours (Philippine time) you are available for a weekly review with our Dutch team.
We read every application that starts with the codeword and answers the questions specifically. Generic or copy-paste replies aren’t considered.
