ROLE OVERVIEW
Agency Geaux (AGX) is looking for a Content Strategy & Marketing Specialist who can take ownership of research, identify useful insights, and transform those insights into content assets that support defined marketing objectives.
This is not primarily a general copywriting role. The specialist must understand how content supports positioning, audience development, lead generation, sales, community building, and broader business goals.
The ideal candidate can move from research and strategic direction into practical content planning and execution without losing the purpose behind the work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct and organize research related to audiences, industries, competitors, topics, and market opportunities.
Translate research findings into clear, useful, and audience-appropriate content.
Develop content for specific objectives such as awareness, authority building, audience education, lead generation, engagement, or conversion.
Create content plans, campaign concepts, editorial calendars, and supporting asset recommendations.
Draft and develop articles, website copy, newsletters,
Adapt content across multiple brands while following established brand strategies, messaging systems, and voice guidelines.
Connect individual content assets to larger marketing, sales, and customer journey objectives.
Collaborate with designers, media producers, developers, and operational tea
Review content performance and recommend practical improvements.
Maintain organized project documentation, sources, drafts, and production requirements.
REQUIRED CAPABILITIES
Strong understanding of content marketing and marketing strategy.
Ability to conduct credible research and synthesize complex information.
Strong writing, editing, and content-structuring skills.
Working knowledge and application of sales, customer journeys, community development, and business fundamentals.
Experience developing content plans and executing content across multiple channels.
Ability to distinguish between informative content and content designed to achieve a specific marketing objective.
Strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple brands, assignments, and deadlines.
Comfortable working within structured workflows while exercising independent judgment.

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
Success means turning research and strategic direction into clear, valuable content that supports specific marketing and business objectives.
You will be effective in this role if you are someone we can rely on to take a creative assignment, understand what is needed, and produce polished work without constant supervision.
You should be comfortable switching between design, video, audio, and document projects, following brand standards, handling feedback professionally, and paying attention to the details before calling something finished.
WORK STYLE & AVAILABILITY
This is an active remote role with required collaboration during Central/Chicago/Houston time.
Candidates must be available to work synchronously during the window of:
6:00 AM – 11:00 AM Central Time
Pay is hourly and based on experience, starting at $4.50+ per hour
Expertise must be Intermediate or above
BASELINE REQUIREMENTS:
20 - 40 hours per week, depending on candidate availability

ability to work visibly and responsively during team work windows
