ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for someone who lives and breathes SEO, is comfortable jumping on client calls, and knows how to use AI tools to work smarter — not just faster. You won't be writing articles from scratch, but you will be the person who knows exactly what a great article needs: the right structure, the right keywords, the right headings, internal links, meta descriptions, and everything else that makes content rank.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You'll be working across multiple websites, helping clients improve their search presence, and occasionally talking directly with clients to explain what you're doing and why.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
• Pay rate: $7–$10/hour depending on experience
• Government dues are the responsibility of the applicant

HOURS AND AVAILABILITY
• Core hours: 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM Central Time (includes a 30-minute break)
• Remaining 3 hours are async — work them anytime within the same day, on your own schedule
• Total of approximately 5 hours of live overlap + 3 hours flexible per day
• Split-shift friendly: we respect your time, your rest, and your life outside of work

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
SEO

• Conduct keyword research and on-page SEO optimization for blog posts and web pages
• Perform SEO audits and implement improvements across client websites
• Set up and monitor Google Search Console, identify issues, and act on data
• Write and optimize meta titles and descriptions
• Handle internal linking, schema, image alt text, and other on-page best practices
• Track rankings and report on SEO progress

Content & AI-Assisted Writing

• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to assist with content production
• Know what makes a blog post rank: proper structure, headers, keyword placement, word count, readability, and CTAs
• Edit and refine AI-generated drafts to meet SEO and quality standards
• Brief writers or AI tools with the right inputs so content comes out right the first time

Client Communication

• Talk through content ideas and site updates directly with clients
• Join calls with clients to discuss SEO strategy, progress, and recommendations
• Communicate clearly and professionally — you're calm, articulate, and easy to talk to
• Send follow-up emails summarizing calls and next steps

Tools & Systems

• Use AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar to build or improve small internal tools and automations when needed
• Comfortable exploring and adopting new tools quickly

REQUIREMENTS
• Proven SEO experience — you've done this before and have results to show
• Fluent spoken and written English — strong communicator on calls and in writing
• Comfortable on video calls with clients
• Familiar with AI tools: Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar
• Working knowledge of Google Search Console, and ideally other SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, Yoast, RankMath)
• Beginner-to-intermediate writing skills — you don't need to be a novelist, but you understand what good content looks like
• 50Mbps wired internet connection
• Desktop or laptop, plus headset and camera for calls
• Quiet working space

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI coding tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Gemini in IDEs
• WordPress experience
• Familiarity with Airtable, Trello, or Google Suite
