JOB OVERVIEW

About Rig53
Rig53 is a social network built exclusively for professional truck drivers. Currently in closed beta. Small, early-stage team. You will work alongside our Marketing & Operations Lead to build our content presence from the ground up.

Role Overview
You are a writer and content creator who understands social media and basic SEO. You will write blog posts, manage social media accounts, seed content in trucking forums, and help Rig53 get found online.

This is not a technical SEO role. You do not need to know backlinks or schema markup. You do need to know keywords, hashtags, and how to write for both people and search engines.

Responsibilities
Blog Writing:
Write 1-2 SEO-optimized blog posts per week ( ---------- words each)
Topics: trucking tips, industry news, driver lifestyle, route guides
Include keywords, headings, and meta descriptions

Social Media Management:
Schedule 7-10 posts per week across TikTok, X (Twitter), and Facebook
Write captions that engage truck drivers
Use relevant hashtags
Monitor comments and flag engagement opportunities

Forum Content Seeding:
Post helpful content
Answer questions and share useful information

Content Research:
Find keywords truck drivers search for
Identify trending topics in trucking
Track what competitors are posting
Weekly Reporting
Track: blog views, social engagement, forum post replies

Submit brief weekly report to the Marketing & Operations Lead

Required Qualifications
Excellent written English (conversational, not corporate)
Experience writing blog posts or articles (samples required)
Experience managing social media accounts (personal or business)
Basic understanding of SEO (keywords, headings, meta descriptions)
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Later, or Meta Business Suite)
Reliable internet and daily communication via Slack

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with trucking, logistics, or blue-collar audiences
Experience posting in online forums (Reddit, specialized communities)
Basic Canva skills for simple graphics

What Makes You Stand Out
You have grown a social media account from zero
You understand how to write for truck drivers (respectful, no fluff)
You are comfortable working under a Marketing Lead, not directly with the founder
You can work independently without constant direction
