We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Content Assistant to support the quality control (QC) and proofreading of content produced for US law firm clients.
Mastery of the English language is a requirement. Understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and on-page best practices is a major plus as is experience with US law firms!
The primary focus of this role will be reviewing blog articles and website content before publication. Our current workload includes 70+ recurring blog articles each month, along with occasional special content orders. These special content projects may include 15–20 or more pieces of content at a time, such as blog articles, service pages, practice area pages, location pages, and other types of website content.
Training will be provided, including our quality standards, review procedures, and common issues to watch for.
Once training is completed, you will be expected to perform the majority of the QC process independently. After you complete the QC process, your supervisor will conduct a final quick pass or skim to confirm that the content is ready for client review and will then send the content to the clients for their review.

-Identifying awkward, repetitive, vague, unclear, or unnatural wording;
-Checking for factual inconsistencies, questionable claims, or information that may require further verification;

-Confirming that internal and external links are relevant, accurate, and placed appropriately;
-Checking whether expected keywords and keyphrases have been incorporated naturally into the content;
-Reviewing service pages, practice area pages, city/location pages, and similar website content to verify that client information, linked addresses, phone numbers, keywords, keyphrases, internal links, and external links are included correctly and used effectively;
-Identifying duplicate or overly similar sections within a piece of content;
-Correcting minor issues directly when appropriate;
-Flagging larger factual, legal, structural, or content-related concerns that may require additional review;
-Following established QC checklists and internal content standards;

Because this person will handle QC independently, strong attention to detail, consistency, and accuracy are extremely important.
