I run a knitting education business with online classes, memberships, blog content, and social media. I’m looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to help me turn my teaching content into polished, published content across multiple platforms.
This is a part-time role to start, with room to grow over time if we’re a great fit.
Position Details
Title: Content Production & Video Editing VA for Knitting Education Business
Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week
Rate: $6 USD per hour
Location: Philippines preferred
Review: Pay and hours will be reviewed after 3 months based on performance, fit, and business needs
About the Role
This is not a general admin role.
I’m looking for someone who can support my content workflow, especially with:
video editing
content repurposing for social media
uploading and formatting content in my membership platform
basic blog post formatting
light website updates
My business has busy seasons and slower seasons, so the workload may ebb and flow somewhat. Over time, if you are a strong fit and show initiative, this role could grow in hours and responsibility.
Main Responsibilities
Your tasks may include:
Video Editing
Edit long-form teaching videos
Trim mistakes, pauses, and unnecessary sections
Add simple text, captions, or basic graphics when needed
Export videos in the correct format
Pull short clips from longer videos for social media
Content Uploading & Publishing
Upload completed videos into
Embed content into Stitch Connect
Format lesson pages and organize content cleanly
Check that links, video embeds, and lesson materials are working properly
Social Media Content Support
Repurpose teaching content into short-form content
Draft captions based on my videos, blog posts, or teaching topics
Prepare social media posts for scheduling
Help organize and maintain a content calendar
Blog & Website Support
Format blog posts in Squarespace
Upload images and basic post elements
Add headings, alt text, meta descriptions, and internal links
Make simple website updates so the site stays current and active
General Content Organization
Keep digital files organized
Follow content checklists and workflows
Help track what content has been edited, uploaded, published, or scheduled
Ideal Candidate

able to communicate clearly in English
proactive when something seems unclear or missing
Strong Preference
Because my business is in the knitting and fiber arts world, I strongly prefer someone who already understands this space.

It is important to me that the language of knitting and making feels familiar to you, or at least not intimidating.
