We’re looking for a high-taste Content Producer and Short-Form Video Editor to create content for two distinct brands:
• A premium permanent makeup and luxury beauty brand
• A founder-led personal brand focused on life, love, identity, confidence, self-worth and personal transformation
This is not simply a video-cutting position.
We need someone who understands:
• Pacing
• Hooks
• Visual storytelling
• Audience retention
• Music and sound selection
• Clean text placement
• Brand identity
• Emotional impact
• What makes people stop scrolling
You should be able to take an approved concept, creative brief and source material and turn them into polished, post-ready content without needing every cut, transition or design choice explained to you.
You will not be responsible for filming or posting content.
Your primary responsibility will be producing and editing high-quality content from footage, images, templates, scripts and creative direction provided by our team.
THE TWO BRANDS
LUXURY BEAUTY BRAND
The beauty brand specializes in premium permanent makeup services.
Its content may include:
• Client transformations
• Before-and-after results
• Permanent brows
• Lip Blush
• Permanent Eyeliner
• Beauty education
• Service storytelling
• Luxury beauty experiences
• Promotional campaigns
• Selected AI-assisted cinematic campaigns
This brand’s content should feel:
• Polished
• Premium
• Clean
• Modern
• Feminine
• Intentional
• Results-focused
• Visually elevated
FOUNDER-LED PERSONAL BRAND
The personal brand focuses on:
• Life
• Love
• Identity
• Self-worth
• Standards and boundaries
• Personal transformation
• Honest storytelling
• Feminine confidence
This brand should feel natural, emotionally engaging and conversational—not overly produced or like a generic influencer page.
The right candidate must understand how to edit these two brands differently without blending their identities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will produce short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Responsibilities may include:
• Reviewing creative briefs and source materials
• Selecting the strongest footage and moments
• Editing face-to-camera videos
• Editing beauty, service, lifestyle and transformation content
• Producing short story-driven videos
• Producing simple graphics and carousels using approved templates
• Creating strong openings and maintaining viewer attention
• Adding approved on-screen text, captions, music and sound effects
• Creating clean transitions and visual flow
• Repurposing strong source material into multiple useful assets when directed
• Using AI tools for selected creative and cinematic projects
• Organizing project files, source assets and final exports
• Following the assigned production queue and deadlines
• Reviewing your own work before submitting it
• Delivering complete, polished work rather than unfinished drafts
You will receive brand direction, creative briefs and priorities. You are expected to use independent editing judgment while remaining within the approved direction.
AI CONTENT EXPERIENCE
Not all content will be AI-generated.
Traditional editing, storytelling and content judgment are the foundation of this position.
However, familiarity with AI creative platforms is strongly preferred because selected campaigns will include AI-assisted imagery and cinematic video production.
Experience with tools such as the following is valuable:
• Higgsfield
• ChatGPT
• Image-generation platforms
• AI video-generation platforms
• CapCut AI tools
If you have produced AI-assisted advertisements, cinematic videos, character-consistent scenes or story-based campaigns, please include examples.
SCHEDULE AND EXPECTED WORK
This is a 20-hour-per-week position:
• 4 hours per day
• 5 days per week
• Monday through Friday
Weekly assignments will vary according to brand priorities and the complexity of each project.
Assignments may include:
• Standard short-form edits
• Face-to-camera videos
• Before-and-after content
• Graphics or carousels
• Campaign assets
• AI-assisted cinematic content
There is no inflexible daily production quota.
A complex AI cinematic assignment may replace several standard edits. We care about strong, useful output—not rushed work created simply to meet a content count.
YOU’RE A STRONG FIT IF YOU:
• Have strong CapCut experience
• Have experience editing TikTok, Reels or YouTube Shorts
• Understand hooks, pacing and viewer retention
• Have strong visual taste and aesthetic judgment
• Can edit both polished brand content and natural personal storytelling
• Can follow creative direction without requiring constant supervision
• Can make thoughtful editing decisions independently
• Know when an edit needs energy and when it needs restraint
• Care about spelling, timing, text placement and small details
• Can organize files and meet deadlines
• Accept feedback professionally
• Learn from revisions and avoid repeating the same mistakes
• Can work efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Communicate clearly and raise questions before they become delays
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF:
• You require frame-by-frame instructions for every edit
• Your work frequently feels cluttered, chaotic or over-edited
• You use effects and transitions without a clear purpose
• You make every brand look like the same social media template
• You rely on trends without understanding the brand
• You submit unfinished work and expect the company to complete it
• You repeatedly miss details already included in the brief
• You need constant reminders to meet deadlines
• You cannot distinguish between luxury beauty content and authentic personal storytelling
• You depend entirely on AI and lack traditional editing skills
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong CapCut experience
• Short-form video editing experience
• Strong understanding of hooks, pacing and retention
• Clean on-screen text and caption placement
• Strong visual storytelling ability
• Excellent attention to detail
• Dependable communication
• Ability to follow brand standards and creative briefs
• Reliable computer and internet connection
• Ability to work independently
PREFERRED SKILLS
• AI video or image-generation experience
• Higgsfield experience
• Beauty, lifestyle or luxury-brand experience
• Face-to-camera and personal-brand editing
• Story-driven or cinematic editing
• Canva experience
• Basic sound design
• Experience managing assignments in Asana or a similar project-management platform
COMPENSATION
• Starting rate: $5–$7 USD per hour
• Final starting rate will be based on demonstrated skill, portfolio quality and paid-trial performance
• 20 hours per week
• 90-day probationary period
• Performance reviews during the probationary period
• Opportunity for increased compensation, hours and responsibility based on demonstrated performance
The starting range will be applied as follows:
• $5/hour — developing candidate with strong potential who requires additional training or direction
• $6/hour — experienced candidate who produces strong traditional edits and requires limited direction
• $7/hour — advanced candidate who demonstrates excellent editing judgment, clear brand distinction, minimal revision needs and strong AI-production ability
Compensation growth will be based on:
• Quality of work
• Consistency
• Dependability
• Speed and efficiency
• Ability to follow direction
• Reduction in unnecessary revisions
• Independent judgment
• Ability to support both brands successfully
• Development and application of AI-production skills
SELECTION PROCESS
Shortlisted applicants will complete a paid trial assignment using our brand materials and direction.
The trial may include:
• One luxury beauty-brand edit
• One personal-brand edit
• A short AI-production exercise or review of your existing AI work
The purpose is to evaluate editing ability, creative judgment, attention to detail and your ability to distinguish between the two brands.
HOW TO APPLY
Please include all of the following:
A link to your three strongest short-form editing samples.
At least one face-to-camera or personal-storytelling sample.
At least one beauty, lifestyle, luxury or transformation-based sample.
Any AI-generated video, image or cinematic work you have created. If you do not have AI samples, state that honestly.
A list of the editing and AI tools you personally know how to use.
Your current availability and the hours you are available to work.
Your internet speed and computer specifications.
For every sample submitted, briefly explain what you personally handled.
Answer the following question in 4–6 sentences:
“How would you make the editing style feel different for a premium beauty-service brand versus an honest, personality-led storytelling brand?”
Begin your application with the words:
“I understand the difference.”
Applications that do not follow these instructions will not be considered.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow into a trusted, long-term creative team member—not someone searching for occasional editing work.
