Full-Time | Remote | Reporting to the Founder
## Role Overview
We are building a content machine.
Not a posting schedule. Not a content calendar. A real system that builds trust, grows an audience, and drives business results — one great idea at a time.
To make that happen, we need a Content Operator
You are obsessed with YouTube, very creative love to learn and the person who wakes up every morning thinking about what the world is talking about, what our audience needs to hear, and how to turn raw information into a pitch-ready idea the founder can record in 20 minutes.
You don't edit. You don't film. You think, research, develop, and pitch.
But here's what makes this role different from anything else out there.
You will learn directly from the founder how this entire content system was built — from the ground up. Every process, every framework, every decision. You will be inside the machine as it runs, and you will help make it better. This is not a job where you follow instructions and clock out. This is a long-term partnership. The founder will teach you everything. And together, you will build something that compounds over time.
This only works if you are fully committed. Not half in. Not testing the waters. This role requires someone who wants to dedicate themselves to this work for the long term — someone who sees this as the place they want to grow, not just a job they want to have.
If you are obsessed with YouTube, if you study content like it is a sport, and if you want to be inside one of the most serious content operations being built right now — this seat is for you.
## What You Will Actually Do
Find and Develop Ideas
- Check all **idea pipes** every single day — YouTube,
- Turn raw ideas into clear, structured pitches — with an angle, a hook direction, a visual concept, and a reason why it is right for our audience right now
- Build and keep a living **ideas doc** where every idea has its own tab with research, possible visuals, and a clear angle
- Flag time-sensitive ideas fast — if something needs to be made in the next 24 hours, you say so right away
- Filter hard. You do not pitch everything you find. You only pitch what is actually good.
Pitch Like a Showrunner
- Run **two pitch sessions per week** with the founder — structured like a Hollywood writers room. You show up prepared. You present the idea, the angle, the pros, the cons, and your honest recommendation
- Take yes or no decisions cleanly and move on. No ego about killed ideas.
- Get so deep into the founder's voice, taste, and audience that your instincts start to match theirs
- Over time, move toward writing full scripts or outlines so the founder can record with almost no prep
Know the Platform Cold
- Stay on top of what is working on **YouTube long-form and short-form** — not just in our niche, but in other niches we can borrow from
- Learn and use the **seven Lego brick framework** — topic, angle, hook structure, story structure, visual format, key visuals, audio — and be able to break down any winning video into its parts
- Know the difference between the **five content games** — entertainment media, education media, commoditized product, complex product, and B2B/coaching — and understand which game we are playing and why
- Track what formats are winning right now. More importantly, understand *why* they are winning so you can use the principle — not just copy the look
Think About the Right Audience
- Know our **ideal person** deeply — who they are, what they are afraid of, what they want, what they have already tried, and what words they use
- Every idea you pitch should pass one test: would the one specific person we are making content for find this useful, real, and worth their time?
- Think **right views over more views**. We are not chasing big numbers. We are building deep trust with the right people.
- Understand the difference between going narrow and going wide — and know when each one is the right move
What You Need to Bring
Must-Haves
- **Deep knowledge of YouTube** — not casual. You study it. You break down videos. You understand the algorithm, the packaging game, how retention works, and the psychology behind a great hook
- **Strong research skills** — you know where to look for ideas, how to judge them, and how to build them into something worth pitching
- **Clear written communication** — your idea docs need to be easy to read, well-structured, and sharp. The founder should open a tab and immediately understand the idea, the angle, and why it matters
- **Taste** — you can tell the difference between a good idea and a great one. You know when an angle is too weak, when a hook is too vague, when a topic has been done too many times
- **Speed and follow-through** — you move fast, you communicate clearly, and you do not let ideas sit. The machine runs on
- **No ego about feedback** — when an idea gets killed, you learn from it and come back with something better. You do not protect your pitches. You protect the quality of the output
- **Understanding of hooks** — you know the three-part hook (visual, text, spoken), you understand contrast framing, and you can tell whether a hook will stop the scroll or not
- **The Lego brick mindset** — you can break any winning video into its seven parts and know which bricks to keep and which ones to improve
Strongly Preferred
- Experience working inside a content operation for a founder, creator, or personal brand
- Familiarity with tools like **Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Sandcastles.ai** for research and idea development
- Experience writing scripts or outlines for YouTube or short-form content
- Basic understanding of **YouTube SEO** — keyword research, title structure, search intent
- Comfort with **Google Drive, Slack, Asana, Notion** or similar tools
- You have studied creators like Kallaway, Hormozi, Orin, Alex Garcia, Diary of a CEO — not to copy them, but to understand what they are doing and why it works
Bonus
- You have run your own YouTube channel or short-form account and have real reps under your belt
- You have studied the psychology of attention, dopamine loops, and how retention actually works
- You keep a swipe file. You track outlier videos. You know what a 2–4x view-to-subscriber ratio means and why it matters.
## How We Measure You
- **2 structured pitch sessions per week** with at least 5 developed ideas per session
- **Ideas doc kept fresh daily** — every pipe checked, every strong signal captured and built out
- **Time-sensitive ideas flagged within 24 hours** of finding them
- **Pitch accuracy improving over time** — the percentage of your ideas that get a yes should grow as you learn the founder's taste
- **Script outlines or full scripts** delivered for at least half of all greenlit ideas within 90 days of starting
- **Quarterly review** of idea quality, pitch sharpness, and platform knowledge — are your instincts getting better?
- **Zero dropped balls** — if you said it would be ready, it is ready
## The Long-Term Commitment
This is not a freelance gig. This is not a short-term contract.
This is a long-term seat inside a content operation that is being built to last.
The founder will teach you how this entire system was built — every framework, every decision, every lesson learned the hard way. You will not just run the system. You will understand it from the inside. And as you grow, you will help make it better.
That only works if you show up fully. Every day. For the long run.
If you are looking for something to do on the side, this is not it. If you are looking for a place to grow, to learn, to build something real alongside someone who is deeply invested in your development — this is exactly it.
## Rhythm
- Monday to Friday, available during core hours aligned with the founder's timezone
- Two pitch calls per week — prepared, structured, showrunner-style
- Daily async updates on idea pipe activity
- Weekly check-in with the Content Director on priorities, timelines, and feedback
- Monthly review of what is working, what is not, and what to push harder on

## Core Values
**TRUTH OVER COMFORT**
We do not pitch ideas because they are safe. We pitch them because they are sharp and worth making. If an idea is weak, say so. If a direction is not working, flag it. Honesty is how this place runs.
**CLARITY BEFORE ACTION**
You do not just find ideas — you build them out. You understand the angle, the audience, the hook, and the why before anything goes to the founder. Vague pitches waste everyone's time.
**IMPACT OVER EGO**
We are not making content to look good. We are making content to change how people think and act. Every idea you pitch should serve that mission — not your own taste, not trend-chasing, not vanity numbers.
**HUMILITY OVER PRIDE**
You are learning a system that was built before you got here. That takes time, feedback, and a real willingness to be wrong. The best operators get better because they stay curious and stay coachable. We grow together here — in public, in real time, and without pretending we have all the answers.
