About Outside
The Outside Group is a Dallas-based, design-led garden company specializing in Landscape Architecture, Construction, and Garden Care. We design, build, and maintain timeless gardens. Our work is thoughtful, highly detailed, and grounded in architecture, horticulture, and the way our clients live.
We are looking for a creative, organized, and dependable Content Marketing & Social Media Coordinator to help turn our projects, photographs, knowledge, and ideas into consistent digital content.
About the Role
This position is responsible for more than posting attractive photographs.
You will help operate a coordinated content system that includes social media, website Journal articles, email content, project stories, and seasonal marketing campaigns. Social media—primarily Instagram—will be an important part of the role, but its purpose is to help the right audience discover Outside, understand how we think, visit our website, and begin a conversation.
We will provide project photographs, videos, company information, and access to subject-matter experts. You will organize that material and turn it into polished, engaging content that reflects the quality of our work.
This is an execution and coordination role. Company leadership will establish the brand direction, marketing priorities, and final messaging.
Responsibilities
Social Media Content
- Create, edit, and schedule Instagram posts, carousels, Stories, and Reels using project photos and videos.
- Create before-and-after features, project-progress stories, graphics, and short-form videos using tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe.
- Write thoughtful captions in Outside’s voice and
- Monitor comments, mentions, and direct messages and route inquiries appropriately.
Content Planning and Coordination
- Maintain a content calendar covering deadlines, materials, approvals, and campaigns across Landscape Architecture, Construction, and Garden Care.
- Identify needed photos, videos, project information, and internal input, and develop multiple content ideas from available material.
- Coordinate seasonal content across social media, website, and email while researching relevant topics and trends that fit the Outside brand.
Journal, Website, and Email Support
- Identify Journal and project-story topics and gather information by interviewing company leaders and subject-matter experts.
- Assist with drafting, editing, formatting, and uploading approved Journal and website content to WordPress.
- Repurpose approved content for social media, email, and client follow-up while coordinating SEO and website needs with internal and outside partners.
Content and Media Organization
- Organize the company’s photograph and video library by project, service, season, and subject.
- Track photographer credits and approved usage.
- Identify missing content and help prepare photography or video shot lists.
- Maintain an organized library of approved captions, company language, project information, testimonials, and calls to action.
- Follow the company’s visual identity and brand standards consistently.
Reporting
- Prepare a concise monthly report showing:
- Content published
- Social engagement and audience growth
- Visits to the website from social media
- Email and content engagement, when available
- Inquiries connected to content or campaigns
- Best-performing topics and formats
- Upcoming content needs
- Recommended improvements or tests
What We’re Looking For
- Experience creating social media and digital content for a business or professional brand.
- Strong Instagram, Reel, carousel, and short-form video skills.
- Strong photo and video editing ability with experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Good organization and the ability to manage a content calendar.
- Reliable follow-through and the ability to meet deadlines.
- The initiative to identify what is needed and follow up without waiting indefinitely for direction.
- The judgment to use AI as a drafting and organizational tool without producing generic or artificial-sounding content.
- Experience with landscape architecture, gardens, architecture, construction, luxury residential design, interiors, outdoor living, or a similar visually driven industry is preferred.
Our Brand Voice
Outside’s voice is calm, architectural, horticultural, and observational. Our marketing should be confident and engaging without sounding overly promotional.
We are not looking for someone who relies on loud graphics, constant sales language, generic inspirational quotes, or every passing social-media trend. We want content that helps people understand the gardens we create, how we approach the work, and why thoughtful design and care matter.
Working Expectations
- Maintain consistent weekly availability.
- Participate in regular check-ins with the person managing the marketing workflow.
- Be available for some scheduled overlap with the Dallas workday.
- Keep work, source files, calendars, and content assets organized in company systems.
- Obtain approval before publishing content until independent publishing authority is granted.
- Protect confidential client, project, and company information.
