The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and talented Storytelling Video Editor to join our growing content creation division. If you believe that a video's true power lies in its ability to drive emotion and tell a compelling story rather than just showing off flashy effects, this is the role for you.
Currently, this is a pay-per-project role, however, we have a consistent, heavy flow of work that will easily keep you busy for 20 to 40 hours per week. As our content creation division continues to scale rapidly, our ultimate goal is to transition the right candidate into a full-time position, where you will eventually help us build and lead a larger team of editors.
Key Responsibilities:
Story-First Editing: Craft engaging, emotion-driven videos that tell a clear and compelling narrative for our diverse roster of clients (trades, health, finance, real estate, etc.).
Sound Design & Audio: Implement high-quality sound design, audio mixing, and music selection that perfectly matches the mood, pacing, and emotional tone of the video.
Captioning: Create dynamic, trendy, and highly accurate text/captions for short-form social media content (Instagram Reels, TikToks, talking-head videos, etc.).
Collaboration & Efficiency: Work seamlessly with our lead editors, production team, and project managers (using tools like

Requirements:
Software Proficiency: You MUST use Final Cut Pro as your primary editing software to align with our team's workflow.
Storytelling Mindset: You prioritize narrative flow, pacing, and emotional impact over over-the-top transitions and heavy VFX. You know how to keep a viewer hooked from the first second, regardless of whether you are editing a video for a roofing company or a financial advisor.
Technical Skills: Expert-level skills in sound design, captioning and colour grading.
Reliability & Communication: You must have a fast, reliable internet connection for downloading/uploading large files daily. Strong English communication skills are required—we value transparency, responsiveness, and a collaborative attitude.
