JOB OVERVIEW

**Job Title: YouTube Gaming Video Editor (Long-Form + Shorts)**

### About the Job

I'm looking for a creative and reliable video editor to edit gaming content for YouTube. This includes both regular YouTube videos and YouTube Shorts. I'm open to whatever editing software you prefer to use (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut, CapCut, etc.) as long as the final product is high quality, engaging, and optimized for YouTube.

### Responsibilities

* Edit gaming recordings into entertaining and engaging YouTube videos
* Create attention-grabbing YouTube Shorts from gameplay footage
* Add effects, transitions, zooms, subtitles, sound effects, ---------- s, music, and other elements that improve viewer retention
* Remove boring or unnecessary parts of the recordings
* Create fast-paced and attractive edits that keep viewers watching
* Follow current YouTube gaming editing trends and styles
* Deliver completed videos on time

### Requirements

* Experience editing gaming videos for YouTube
* Ability to create both long-form videos and Shorts
* Strong understanding of pacing, viewer retention, and engaging edits
* Creative mindset and ability to make videos entertaining
* Good communication and reliability
* Experience with any professional editing software is acceptable

### Preferred (But Not Required)

* Experience editing content similar to gaming creators, streamers, or reaction channels
* Knowledge of YouTube algorithms, hooks, and retention strategies
* Ability to create thumbnails is a plus
