About the Role
We are seeking a creative, mission-driven Social Media Manager to lead our digital storytelling for the BabyDoge Philippines.
You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms, creating compelling content that drives engagement, and most importantly, hosting our monthly webinar series and venturing into the field to capture real-life rescue stories.

Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Strategy & Content Management
Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with BabyDoge Philippines' mission
Plan and manage monthly content calendars, campaign schedules, and timely publishing across
Create engaging, high-quality content including photos, videos, infographics, and captions that tell the stories of rescued dogs
Ensure all content reflects brand consistency, professionalism, and the compassion-driven messaging
Track performance metrics and optimize strategies for reach, engagement, and follower growth
2. Field Content Acquisition (Real-Life Dog Stories)
Travel to shelters regularly to capture authentic video and photo content of the dogs, volunteers, and daily shelter operations
Document individual dog rescue stories: their background, personality traits, before/after transformations, and adoption journeys
Capture "Day at the Shelter" video series content on a recurring basis (every 3 weeks)
Coordinate with shelter staff to identify compelling stories and content opportunities
Bring back raw footage and edit into polished, shareable content for social platforms
Build relationships with volunteers and staff to capture genuine, unscripted moments
3. Webinar Hosting
Serve as the public-facing host for BabyDoge Philippines' monthly webinar series
Open and facilitate live webinars, welcoming attendees and introducing speakers
Manage the flow of the webinar: transitions, Q&A sessions, and live audience engagement
Present key information about the partnership, advocacy campaigns, and impact stories
Coordinate with the team for preparation, broadcast, and follow-up
Record promotional video content for webinar marketing campaigns
Ensure a professional, warm, and engaging tone throughout all webinars
4. Community Engagement
Engage authentically with followers, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner
Build meaningful relationships with animal advocates, partner organizations, and the online community
Monitor and participate in social media discussions about animal welfare and the stray dog crisis in the Philippines
Support volunteer and ambassador engagement through digital storytelling

Qualifications
Required
- Passion for animal welfare and a genuine desire to tell the stories of rescued dogs
- Proven experience managing social media accounts (at least 5,000 followers on any social media platform)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Tagalog
- Strong on-camera presence and confidence in hosting live events or webinars
- Video production skills: ability to shoot, edit, and produce engaging video content
- Content creation expertise: proficiency with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and social media scheduling tools
- Ability to travel to the shelter regularly for field content capture
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Creative thinking and ability to adapt to emerging trends and platform updates
