JOB OVERVIEW

ABOUT EPYC MEDIA
EPYC Media is a cultural storytelling agency known for building network ready content ecosystems for culturally influential founders, brands, athletes, entertainers, non profits, and enterprises. We believe story comes before format, emotional resonance creates audience loyalty, and premium production is a form of respect for the audience. The best content doesn't interrupt culture, it becomes part of it. Most of our team has been with EPYC 5+ years, because the work asks a lot of you (real detail, real craft, real effort) but it also moves the needle.

THE ROLE
Across several shows per week (a number that evolves quarter to quarter as the network grows), EPYC needs someone who knows how to get inside a client's voice and leverage AI to finalize deliverables quickly, while creatively crafting, choosing, and aligning on brand voice to create custom copy for every single episode. Every client has a production bible and a trained AI channel built specifically for their voice. This role sits between our editors and our design team, turning transcripts and AI-assisted drafts into final copy and direction that shapes how each show is seen. For the first 90 days, all copy and direction goes through our Project Manager for full sign-off. After that, review shifts to spot-checks only.

WEEKLY VOLUME (PER SHOW, ACROSS SEVERAL SHOWS PER WEEK)
3 reels needing custom cover copy
2 YouTube thumbnails
1 YouTube segment
1 carousel swipe post
1 episode title
Episode trailer direction, as needed, across shows

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Reel Cover Copy: custom copy for every reel, per episode, per show, per week.
YouTube Thumbnail Copy: direction and copy for thumbnails, handed to the Graphic Designer for execution.
YouTube Segment Copy: reviewing segment cuts to choose copy that earns the click.
Carousel Swipe Post Copy: copy across each swipe post, per show, per week.
Episode Titles: selecting titles that fit the show's voice and earn attention.
Episode Trailer Direction: creative direction and copy alignment for trailers, ensuring brand consistency across the network.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Genuine care for the details of custom storytelling and content creation.
Some copywriting experience.
Obsessive brand-voice range: able to hold several distinct show voices in your head at once, without them bleeding into each other.
Comfortable working inside a system: production bibles, trained AI prompts, and established workflows, rather than needing to invent from a blank page.
Comfortable giving direction, not just copy: confident shaping trailer concepts and defending creative calls.

TOOLS
ClickUp, Slack, Google Drive, EPYC's trained AI channel (per-client production)

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
By day 90, you're independently creating custom copy for several shows, for every episode, with only spot-check review from our Project Manager, not full sign-off. Your copy helps each show grow, build traction, and attract new traffic, because it speaks directly to that client's ideal audience.
