JOB OVERVIEW

Tropic Traffic is a digital marketing agency running 700+ websites worldwide. We have a technical team handling infrastructure, so you won't be doing server work or plugin maintenance. Your focus is content: writing it, translating it, publishing it, and keeping it accurate.

About the role

We're looking for one person to own our content production and keep our sites up to date. You'll use AI tools daily — but we're not hiring someone to paste ChatGPT output into WordPress. We're hiring someone with editorial judgment: who writes a good brief before the draft, and knows what to fix after it.

You'll also be hands-on in WordPress beyond just publishing text — building out pages, adding new sections and elements, restructuring content that's gone stale.

There's also a weekly quality check on our most important pages. It's detail work, and it matters, because we're paying for the traffic that lands there.

What you'll do

Content production (the bulk of the job)

Write and edit articles using AI tools, with proper briefs and real editing
Maintain our house style so everything sounds like us, not like a chatbot
Source images, format posts, and publish in WordPress
Build and maintain a prompt library so output stays consistent

Translation and localization

Translate articles into our target markets using AI, then localize properly
Adapt currencies, units, local merchants, seasonal references and idioms — not just swap the words

Weekly page checks (about half a day, every Monday)

Walk through 50 key pages the way a visitor would
Click each affiliate link and confirm it lands on the right product
Check that price and stock match what our article says
Confirm tracking parameters survive the redirect
Check mobile display, images and buttons
Log everything in a shared sheet and flag anything that needs attention

Keeping our sites up to date

Update outdated information, prices and product mentions in older posts
Add new sections, tables, comparison blocks, CTAs and other elements to existing pages
Build out new pages and landing pages using our existing templates and page builder
Restructure and rewrite articles that have gone stale, not just patch the numbers
Swap out images, banners and product boxes when things change
Fix internal links, refresh seasonal content, general on-page tidying
Roll out changes consistently across multiple sites when we update something everywhere

What we need from you

Required

Excellent written English — clear, natural, not stiff
Solid WordPress experience — comfortable building and editing pages, not just publishing text. Tell us which page builder or theme you've worked with (Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, etc.)
Daily working fluency with ChatGPT or Claude, and the judgment to know when their output isn't good enough
Genuine attention to detail — the weekly checks are the kind of task where skimming costs us money
Ability to follow a decision protocol and escalate the right things, rather than asking about every small call
