JOB OVERVIEW

We are a national contractor and are looking for an experienced Construction & Restoration Estimator to prepare estimates and field work orders for projects throughout the United States.

This is not a virtual assistant position.

We need someone with real construction estimating experience who can review photos, measurements, inspection reports, plans, scopes, vendor quotes, and approved budgets and turn them into:

Accurate client estimates
Xactimate estimates
Internal job budgets
Technician job cards
Field work orders
Material and labor allowances

The estimator will support both our office and field teams from initial inspection through job execution.

Our work includes residential renovations, maintenance repairs, property turns, restoration, roofing, concrete, flooring, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fencing, exterior repairs, and general construction.

Primary Responsibilities
Construction Estimating

Prepare estimates for:

Property management repairs
Single-family rental properties
Make-ready / turn projects
Renovations
General maintenance
Drywall and texture
Interior and exterior painting
Flooring
Tile
Cabinets and countertops
Plumbing
Electrical
HVAC
Roofing
Concrete
Carpentry
Fencing
Doors and windows
Exterior repairs
Commercial and facility maintenance

You must be able to calculate:

Material quantities
Material costs
Labor hours
Labor costs
Equipment
Disposal
Subcontractor costs
Waste factors
Overhead
Gross margin
Final client price
Xactimate / Restoration Estimating

Prepare Xactimate estimates for projects including:

Water damage
Mitigation
Reconstruction
Fire and smoke damage
Mold remediation
Roofing
Insurance-related repairs

Responsibilities may include:

Building Xactimate sketches
Importing floor plans or ESX files
Selecting appropriate regional price lists
Reviewing photos and moisture documentation
Reviewing inspection reports
Preparing initial estimates
Reviewing insurance estimates
Preparing legitimate supplements
Revising estimates based on client or carrier feedback
Identifying missing scope
Documenting assumptions
Identifying items requiring field verification
