JOB OVERVIEW

We are a growing Florida-based commercial low-voltage contractor looking for a detail-oriented Construction Takeoff Specialist to assist with plan takeoffs for commercial projects.

Our company specializes in:
Structured Cabling (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber)
Access Control Systems
CCTV
Audio/Visual
Commercial Tenant Build-Outs
Schools and Government Projects

This role is focused on accurate quantity takeoffs only. You will NOT be responsible for final pricing, labor calculations, or submitting bids.
Responsibilities:
Review US construction drawings and specifications
Perform takeoffs for:
Data drops
Fiber runs
Cameras
Access control doors
Conduit (EMT/PVC)
Racks and equipment
Mark up plans using Bluebeam (or similar software)
Deliver organized Excel quantity sheets using our cost code template
Meet bid deadlines consistently
Requirements:
Experience with US construction drawings
Experience using Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar takeoff software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to follow structured cost code templates
Good written English
Reliable internet connection
Must overlap at least 3–4 hours with US Eastern Time
Electrical or low-voltage estimating experience strongly preferred.
Compensation:
$8–$15 per hour depending on experience
20–30 hours per week to start
