Long-Term Role with Opportunity to Progress to Full-Time
About the Role
We are a growing UK-based group of businesses operating across construction consultancy, property management, serviced accommodation and property investment.
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and dependable Virtual Assistant to support our Directors and wider business operations.
This is not intended to be a short-term freelance position. We are looking for someone who can learn our businesses, gradually take ownership of recurring workstreams and develop into a trusted long-term member of the team.
The role will initially be 20 hours per week, with the opportunity for responsibilities, hours and pay to increase as the role develops.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will vary as you become familiar with the businesses and may include:
• Inbox and
• Calendar and meeting scheduling
• Task management and follow-ups
• Document and file management
• Invoicing and basic bookkeeping administration
• Property and tenancy administration
• Serviced accommodation administration
• Updating business systems and CRM platforms
• Scheduling appointments and property viewings
• General research
• Marketing and business development support
•
• Social-media research, planning and scheduling
• Website updates and basic maintenance
• Preparing and updating trackers and reports
• General administrative support
• Helping document and improve internal processes
You will not be expected to know everything from day one.
Training will be provided, and responsibilities will be introduced gradually as you become familiar with our businesses and systems.
Who We Are Looking For
We are particularly interested in someone who is:
• Highly organised
• Reliable and consistent
• Proactive
• Eager to learn
• Comfortable taking responsibility
• Able to communicate professionally in written English
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently
• Good at prioritising multiple tasks
• Confident using technology and learning new software
• Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT appropriately
• Willing to ask questions when something is unclear
• Interested in developing with a growing company
You do not need previous construction or property experience.
Experience in administration, virtual assistance, property, real estate, social media, bookkeeping or marketing would be useful, but attitude, organisation and willingness to learn are more important.
The Person We Want
We are not looking for someone who simply waits for a list of tasks every day.
Initially, you will receive plenty of guidance and training. However, as you develop in the role, we want you to become comfortable identifying what needs to be done, following up outstanding actions and taking ownership of recurring responsibilities.
For example, rather than being reminded every week that a report needs updating or that someone needs following up, we would eventually expect you to recognise that as part of your workstream and manage it.
We value initiative, communication and reliability.
Training & Development
Full training will be provided on our internal systems and processes.
The role will develop gradually. You may initially support relatively straightforward administrative tasks before taking responsibility for larger recurring workstreams.
Where additional resources are required as the businesses grow, we will recruit additional team members. The intention is to build an effective team, not continually increase one person’s workload.
Hours
20 hours per week initially.
There will need to be some overlap with UK working hours for communication, meetings, scheduling and certain property-related tasks.
Other administrative work can generally be completed flexibly.
Pay & Progression
Starting salary: $200–$300 USD per month, depending on experience.
Please state your expected monthly salary and/or hourly rate in your application.
The role will begin with an initial 3-month probationary period.
We will review performance and development after the first three months and again as the role develops over the following six months.
For the right person, there is an opportunity to progress towards:
• Greater responsibility
• Ownership of specific workstreams
• Increased pay
• Increased working hours
• A full-time position
• A long-term role within our growing businesses
