We’re looking for a sharp, data-driven, and proactive Competition, Pricing & Product Trends Analyst to help us monitor the competitive landscape, optimize pricing strategies, and uncover emerging product trends. Your work will provide critical insights that shape our product offerings, positioning, and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities
• Competitive & Pricing Analysis:
o Conduct research and maintain up-to-date competitor profiles.
o Analyze competitor pricing models, promotions, and value propositions.
o Recommend pricing strategies to optimize profitability while remaining competitive
• Market Intelligence:
o Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and emerging threats.
o Research new and trending products to identify opportunities that align with our brand and customer base.
o Identify opportunities for new product lines or strategic shifts based on competitive analysis
• Data Collection & Reporting:
o Build and maintain pricing trackers, margin analysis tools, and competitive intelligence dashboards.
o Make outbound calls to local competitors in the US to collect current pricing data (scheduled one day per week during 1:00 PM–6:00 PM EST).
o Provide regular reports and actionable insights to the founder and leadership team.
• Strategic Collaboration:
o Assist in forecasting and product assortment planning based on market intelligence.
o Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on pricing and product strategies.

Tools You Should Be Familiar With
• Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, margin modeling)
• Google Sheets
• Competitive research techniques and platforms
• Trend research tools (Google Trends, Exploding Topics, TikTok/Instagram market scanning) – Bonus
• Data visualization tools (Google Data Studio, Tableau, or similar) – Bonus
• CRM tools (basic familiarity) – Bonus

Requirements
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
• At least 2 years of experience in competitive analysis, pricing strategy, or market research
• Proven experience in making outbound calls or similar communication (phone access required)
• Experience in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred (strong experience may substitute)
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to produce clear, persuasive reports
• Bonus if you have experience with Amazon, Shopee, Lazada, or Shopify competitor tracking.

Working Hours & Setup
• Part-time to full-time depending on fit
• Must be available to attend a weekly strategy/ops call with the founder (ET timezone)
• Must have a reliable phone line to conduct competitor calls during the specified window (1:00 PM–6:00 PM EST on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)
