We are currently seeking an experienced, Philippines-based Commercial Insurance Virtual Assistant to manage post-bind policy servicing, coverage requests, renewals, and market submissions.
Role Summary
This is not an entry-level position or a basic data-entry role. The ideal candidate must have hands-on commercial insurance experience and understand how commercial policies, coverages, endorsements, exclusions, and carrier requirements work.
You will be responsible for servicing commercial insurance accounts after a policy is bound, reviewing policy documents, processing coverage changes, handling renewals, and communicating with insureds, carriers, and underwriters.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle post-bind servicing for commercial insurance policies
* Request and follow up on policy endorsements
* Add, remove, or modify coverages and exposures
* Add or remove locations, vehicles, employees, classifications, and Additional Insureds
* Request Waivers of Subrogation, Primary and Non-Contributory wording, and other required endorsements
* Review certificate requirements and confirm whether the policy meets contractual insurance requirements
* Communicate with carriers and underwriters to obtain written coverage confirmations
* Read and understand commercial policy forms, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage limitations
* Identify when requested coverage is included, excluded, limited, or requires an additional endorsement
* Review issued policies for accuracy and confirm that requested coverages and endorsements were added correctly
* Assist clients with coverage questions in clear and professional language
* Gather information needed to process policy changes
* Handle cancellation, reinstatement, audit, and non-renewal requests
* Prepare renewal applications and collect updated underwriting information from insureds
* Compare expiring policy information with current operations and exposures
* Identify missing information, coverage gaps, or changes that may affect the renewal
* Prepare organized submissions for carriers and wholesalers
* Approach appropriate markets for commercial renewals and new coverage needs
* Follow up with underwriters regarding outstanding quotes, subjectivities, and additional information
* Track endorsements, renewals, and open service requests through completion
* Maintain organized and accurate records in agency systems, inboxes, spreadsheets, and client files

Qualifications
* Previous hands-on experience working in commercial insurance is required
* Experience working for an insurance agency, brokerage, carrier, or commercial insurance support company
* Ability to read and understand commercial insurance policies, endorsements, and exclusions
* Experience handling policy servicing, endorsements, and renewals
* Strong written and spoken English
* Professional
* Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
* Ability to recognize missing information and potential coverage concerns
* Comfortable communicating with clients, underwriters, carriers, and wholesalers
* Able to manage multiple open tasks and follow each one through completion
* Highly organized, dependable, responsive, and able to work with urgency
