PART-TIME BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & LEAD GENERATION COORDINATOR
Remote – Philippines | 20 Hours Per Week | USD $5.50 Per Hour + Bonuses
Are you confident on the phone, great at talking to people and good at opening doors?
We are a growing Australian business group operating across several industries, with a strong presence in events, entertainment, activations, markets, partnerships and new business ventures.
We are looking for a confident and personable Business Development & Lead Generation Coordinator to help us connect with potential clients, introduce our businesses and create new opportunities.
This is not aggressive telemarketing and we don't want someone reading a robotic script.
Your job is to make genuine contact with prospective clients, introduce who we are, find the right decision-maker, start a conversation and create an opportunity for our Australian team to take forward.
HOURS & PAY
20 hours per week – part-time and remote.
Starting rate: USD $5.50 per hour
This equates to approximately USD $475–$500 per month base, depending on hours worked.
There is also an opportunity to earn performance bonuses for generating quality opportunities and new business.
Our proposed bonus structure includes:
USD $5 bonus for a genuinely qualified meeting booked
Additional USD $10–$20 bonus where a lead converts into a new client, depending on the value of the opportunity
Salary review after 3 months based on performance, reliability, initiative and results
For someone who consistently performs well, there will be opportunity for both rate increases and additional hours as the role develops.
A significant portion of your working hours will need to overlap with Australian business hours as you will be speaking directly with Australian businesses and organisations.
THE ROLE
You will work across several different brands and campaigns, so the role is varied and there is always something new to work on.
One day you might be contacting shopping centres about entertainment and activations.
Another day you may be speaking with councils, venues, businesses, sponsors, clubs or corporate organisations about one of our other services or projects.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Your role will include:
Researching prospective clients and organisations
Finding the correct decision-makers and contact details
Making outbound calls to Australian businesses
Introducing our company and services in a friendly, professional way
Starting conversations with prospective clients
Identifying businesses that may have a genuine need for our services
Asking the right questions to understand upcoming opportunities
Obtaining the correct email address for proposals and information
Sending company information, capability documents and introductory emails
Following up information that has already been sent
Reconnecting with previous clients and contacts
Following up warm leads and enquiries
Booking calls or meetings for our Australian management team where appropriate
Keeping clear notes on every conversation
Building and maintaining prospect databases
Researching new industries and potential customer groups
Building targeted email databases for future marketing campaigns
Updating CRM records and contact information
Identifying upcoming events, campaigns, developments and opportunities that may generate business
Helping create prospect lists for new services and brands
Keeping track of follow-ups so opportunities are not forgotten
Reporting on calls, contacts, leads and opportunities generated
THIS IS ABOUT OPENING DOORS
We are not expecting you to close large contracts on the first telephone call.
Your goal is to get us past:
"Who do I need to speak to?"
and move us towards:
"Yes, please send me some information."
or even better:
"That sounds interesting. Let's organise a meeting."
You will be the person who creates the beginning of that relationship.
WE WANT SOMEONE WHO IS PROACTIVE
We don't want to hand you 100 phone numbers and simply ask you to call them.
We want someone who can also think:
"Who else could buy this?"
"What other companies should we approach?"
"Who is the right person inside this organisation?"
"They aren't interested now, but when should I contact them again?"
"I noticed this company has an event coming up — should we approach them?"
We want someone who enjoys finding opportunities and building a pipeline.
YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
Speak excellent, confident English
Are comfortable talking to Australian businesses
Have a friendly and natural telephone manner
Are persuasive without being pushy
Don't get discouraged by hearing "no"
Can build rapport quickly
Are organised and reliable
Have excellent attention to detail
Can research businesses independently
Are confident using Google, LinkedIn and online directories
Can maintain databases accurately
Write professional emails
Follow up without needing to be constantly reminded
Can manage several different campaigns at once
Are comfortable working independently
Take initiative and look for opportunities
Previous experience in business development, appointment setting, outbound calling, lead generation, sales, virtual assistance or CRM/database management would be highly regarded.
Experience speaking with Australian, UK or US customers would also be an advantage.
THIS IS NOT A CALL-CENTRE ROLE
We care much more about quality conversations than simply hitting a ridiculous number of calls per hour.
We want our prospective clients to have a positive first impression of our businesses.
You should sound like part of our team — not like somebody reading from a script in a call centre.
There will be targets and accountability, but we will be looking at outcomes including:
Decision-makers identified
Genuine conversations
Information packs requested
Qualified leads generated
Follow-ups created
Meetings generated
Database growth
New opportunities uncovered
New clients generated
OPPORTUNITY TO GROW
Our businesses continue to expand and new projects are regularly being launched.
For the right person, there is significant opportunity to grow with us and become an important part of our business development and sales team, with the potential for additional hours, increased pay and greater responsibility in the future.
TO APPLY
Please send us:
A short introduction about yourself
Details of your previous outbound calling or business development experience
Any experience calling Australian businesses
The types of clients or industries you have previously contacted
CRM/database systems you have used
Your availability and the hours you can work
Confirmation that you are comfortable with the starting rate of USD $5.50 per hour + performance bonuses
A short voice recording introducing yourself as though you were calling a prospective Australian client
And finally, tell us:
If we gave you a new service tomorrow and asked you to find 100 Australian businesses that might buy it, how would you approach the task?
We are looking for someone confident, resourceful and proactive who can become a genuine part of our growing team.
Please do not apply without including the requested voice recording.
