JOB OVERVIEW

Do not apply if your primary experience is Reels, TikTok or CapCut. We are looking for an editor who understands Nike, Netflix sports documentaries, NFL Films, athlete documentaries and premium YouTube storytelling.

Rare Blue Moon Marketing is a fast-growing US-based digital marketing agency. We're hiring a long-term, full-time Cinematic Sports Documentary Editor to work directly on a high-profile sports/athlete content account.

This is not a social-clip-cutting role. We need someone who can build long-form, emotionally resonant, cinematic sports content — the kind that sits alongside NFL Films, Netflix sports docs, and Nike brand films. You should understand pacing, narrative arc, sound design, color, and how to make an athlete's story hit emotionally over 10-40+ minute runtimes, not just 30-second hooks.

What You'll Do:

- Edit long-form cinematic sports documentary content — athlete profiles, behind-the-scenes features, brand documentary-style pieces
- Build narrative structure from raw footage and interviews: pacing, story arc, emotional beats
- Cut to a premium broadcast/streaming standard — think NFL Films, Netflix Sports (Untold, Formula 1: Drive to Survive), Nike/Jordan Brand storytelling
- Work with color grading, sound design, and music supervision to elevate footage
- Collaborate with directors/producers/videographers on shot selection and story direction
- Manage multiple long-form projects on overlapping timelines
- Maintain a consistent premium visual and narrative standard across deliverables
- Organize and manage large raw footage libraries efficiently

Requirements:

- Proven experience editing long-form documentary or cinematic sports content (not primarily short-form social content)
- Strong grasp of narrative structure and pacing for 10+ minute storytelling
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (and/or DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong color grading skills
- Sound design / music supervision experience for emotional storytelling
- Portfolio with real long-form work required — links to full documentary-style edits, not just reels or highlight clips
- Strong understanding of what separates premium sports documentary editing (NFL Films, Netflix, Nike) from generic social - content
- Excellent English communication skills, high responsiveness during working hours
- Able to work full time, long term, with minimal supervision on a single dedicated account

BONUS POINTS

- Experience editing athlete profile documentaries specifically
- After Effects / motion graphics skills for title sequences and lower thirds
- Experience working with a sports, athletic apparel, or sports media brand
- Experience managing large raw footage archives across multiple shoots
- Familiarity with cloud-based editing/review workflows ( ---------- , etc.)
