We are a growing personal injury law firm seeking a full-time Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support our daily operations remotely. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and proactive, with prior experience supporting U.S. law firms—preferably in personal injury cases. The position involves handling a wide range of administrative and client-centered tasks to assist in the progression of cases from intake through settlement. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, greeting clients professionally, and providing excellent customer service; conducting new client intakes, collecting case details, and accurately recording information in Clio (required); drafting demand letters, legal correspondence, and case documentation under attorney supervision; coordinating and scheduling client medical treatment, therapy appointments, and follow-ups; and requesting, tracking, and organizing medical records, bills, and insurance documentation. The assistant will also maintain organized client files, ensure deadlines are met, prepare and assist with settlement documentation, discovery, and insurance correspondence, and communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and ensure smooth case progress.
This position includes performance-based bonuses in addition to the base weekly compensation. Bonuses are awarded based on accuracy, productivity, and client satisfaction, with opportunities for consistent performers to earn additional income as the firm grows.
Applicants must be proficient in Clio Manage and/or Clio Grow (mandatory) and possess excellent written and spoken English communication skills. At least one to two years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal for a U.S. law firm is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and multitasking abilities with close attention to detail and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and PDF editing tools. An understanding of personal injury case workflow—including medical record handling and demand preparation—is highly valued, along with familiarity with HIPAA compliance and the handling of confidential data. The candidate must have a reliable internet connection, a quiet and professional workspace, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. A professional demeanor, empathy toward clients, and a strong commitment to client service are essential for success in this role.
