CPA/Accountant - Full-Time Position

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CPA/Accountant to join our team. This full-time role is critical to our operations, as you'll be responsible for managing month-end close processes and delivering accurate, timely financial information for multiple clients across various industries. You'll work closely with our CFO team to ensure our clients' books are accurate, compliant, and decision-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
**Month-End Close & General Accounting**
- Manage complete month-end close processes for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Perform bank reconciliations and categorize transactions in accordance with GAAP standards
- Prepare and post adjusting journal entries as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate/resolve discrepancies
**Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable**
- Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable aging reports
- Review AR/AP balances for accuracy and follow up on outstanding items
- Monitor cash flow implications and communicate status to CFO team
**Inventory & Cost Accounting**
- Reconcile inventory accounts and ensure proper valuation
- Review and analyze cost accounting measures, including COGS calculations
- Monitor inventory levels and identify discrepancies or issues
**Financial Reporting & Client Support**
- Generate monthly financial statements, management reports, and KPI dashboards
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reviews
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial data and answer questions
- Collaborate with fractional CFOs to provide insights and support strategic decision-making
**Other CPA Duties**
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices
- Assist with year-end preparations and support external audit or tax preparation processes
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation for all client accounts
Required Qualifications
- **CPA license required** (active and in good standing)
- **Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or multi-client environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
- Experience with small to medium-sized business accounting across multiple industries
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other accounting software platforms (Xero, NetSuite, Sage, etc.)
- Previous experience in a fractional CFO, outsourced accounting, or CPA firm environment
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting tools and workflow management systems
- Understanding of industry-specific accounting requirements (manufacturing, retail, professional services, etc.)
