JOB OVERVIEW

We are a successful residential appraisal firm located in the Bay Area, California. We employ over 10 on the team and are looking for a very senior level experienced residential appraisal report writer to lead our team.

The team includes 3 Bay Area appraisers and 8 employees in the Philippines. We are rapidly growing and are looking for someone with experience completing the entire report, including commentary, who ideally has experience with managing and leading other appraisal report writers. Your role will effectively be acting as chief operating officer of our company while also being directly involved in reports.

Your role and responsibilities include the following:
1. Ensuring every report is completed to our standards. Either directly or through the processes and procedures you develop, it will be your responsibility to ensure that each and every report created by our report writers is free from errors and submission-ready. While this will start by having you directly review each report written by our team before submission, we are in the process of also hiring quality assurance reviewers, who you will lead and manage.
2. Training and managing residential report writers. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all report writers on our tea ---------- et the criteria and standards in place to ensure high quality reports.
3. Acting as the liaison between leadership and the report writing staff. If there is too much work for the team, you will be in charge of letting leadership know so that additional tea ---------- mbers can be hired. Or if there are any other issues, you will be in charge of resolving them or bringing it to leadership's attention.
4. Acting as the closer. Ultimately, everything on the report writing side will fall under your responsiblity. We are looking for someone who is proactive at solving problems without getting the leadership team involved, however we are of course readily available to help out when needed. In line with this, if the report writing team doesn't have capacity to complete a residential report, you are expected to directly help out and complete these reports while at the same time working towards a solution to address this issue (hiring more, building better processes for writing reports, involving AI, etc).

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
1. You have extensive work history writing reports for a US residential appraiser. Ideally you have done this for California properties. You must have extensive experience completing the entire report, everything from data entry to sketch to adjustments, 1004MC, selecting comparables, and commentary.
2. Ideally you have existing management experience, managing other appraisal report writers.

We are flexible with your work hours and offer Philippine daytime shift hours for your convenience. We would like to start part time but then transition to full time, so ideally you are open to working full time exclusively with us if its a mutual fit.

2. How many hours does it take you to complete one report? What parts of the report do you complete?
3. Do you have experience writing commentary for the addendum, drawing the sketch, labeling photos, and creating the 1004MC? Please indicate which ones you have experience with, and how many years for each.
4. Please provide a sample of at least one appraisal report you have fully completed. You can redact any private information from the report. Please let me know what parts exactly you completed on this report(s).
5. Provide a publicly accessible link to your resume.
6. Are you open to starting part time and then transitioning to full time? Once working full time with us, will you be working exclusively with us without any other jobs? When is the earliest you can begin working with us?
