JOB OVERVIEW

We need a SolidEdge proficient draftsman to turn our design concepts into production-ready models and shop-floor-ready drawings — parts that go straight to the laser and the fabrication bench without a round of corrections.

About the role
You'll take design concepts and sketches and turn them into accurate 3D SolidEdge models, then produce the 2D drawings and flat patterns the shop needs for laser cutting and forming. This is ongoing project-based work — the better your models and drawings hold up on the shop floor, the more work comes your way.

What we're looking for
Required
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, especially the sheet metal module
• Experience producing manufacturing-ready drawings and flat patterns for laser cutting or forming
• Solid understanding of sheet metal and fabricated assembly design
• Reliable turnaround on project-based work with minimal follow-up needed
Preferred
• Experience designing ute trays, canopies, or similar vehicle accessories
• Solidworks experience alongside SolidWorks
• Experience preparing files specifically for CNC or laser cutting workflows
