Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with referral partners and prospective clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong networking skills who can communicate the value of advisory, accounting, tax, forensic, and valuation services to business owners and professional advisors.
This role is responsible for generating qualified opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating with leadership to achieve revenue growth goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan.
Identify and qualify new prospects through networking, referrals, LinkedIn,
Build relationships with:
Attorneys
Bankers
Wealth advisors
Business brokers
Insurance professionals
Commercial lenders
Private equity groups
Business owners
Schedule and conduct discovery meetings.
Present the firm's services and value proposition.
Maintain an organized CRM with accurate sales activities and forecasting.
Coordinate webinars, educational events, and networking opportunities.
Work with the marketing team to convert leads generated through digital campaigns.
Prepare proposals and assist in pricing discussions.
Negotiate engagement terms when appropriate.
Meet monthly and quarterly revenue and pipeline goals.
Represent the firm at conferences, trade associations, and networking events (travel approximately 10–20%).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
5+ years of business development or consultative B2B sales experience.
Experience selling professional services is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with executives and business owners.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Preferred Experience
CPA, consulting, legal, valuation, or financial services industry.
Selling outsourced CFO, accounting, tax, or advisory services.
Existing network of referral partners.
