The Business Development Assistant will play a key role in driving new opportunities and supporting company growth by assisting with client outreach, partnership development, proposal creation, and presentation preparation. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable with both strategic communication and hands-on coordination.
Key Responsibilities
1. Outreach & Relationship Building
Research and identify potential partners, clients, and collaborators across target industries.
Manage and track outreach efforts through CRM or spreadsheets, ensuring timely follow-ups.
Draft professional and personalized outreach
Support scheduling of calls, meetings, and presentations with prospective clients or partners.
2. Proposal & Presentation Support
Assist in preparing customized proposals, pitch decks, and presentation materials.
Compile relevant case studies, visuals, and project data to tailor materials for each prospect.
Collaborate with creative and leadership teams to refine storytelling and brand consistency.
Maintain and update templates for proposals, one-pagers, and company overviews.
3. Market & Partner Research
Conduct background research on companies, key decision-makers, and market segments.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and new business opportunities.
Prepare summary briefs and talking points for leadership before meetings.
4. Internal Coordination
Work closely with production, marketing, and finance teams to gather inputs for proposals.
Maintain a pipeline tracker of active leads, proposals, and partnership discussions.
Help organize team updates, reports, and follow-up tasks after client interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
1–3 years of experience in business development, marketing, or client services (creative, media, or professional services background a plus).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive), and presentation software (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Canva, etc.).
A self-starter mindset with curiosity, follow-through, and professionalism in client-facing settings.
Preferred Skills
Experience drafting proposals or marketing materials.
Familiarity with creative agencies, media production, or branding sectors.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities under deadlines.
Design sensibility or basic visual editing (a plus but not required).
